West Pelzer Police Report

West Pelzer Police Department reported the following incidents investigated:

Feb. 28 – Jamie Michael Eaton, 23, no fixed address, West Pelzer, and Devin Xavier Hawkins, 17, no fixed address, West Pelzer, were both arrested after officers were dispatched to Dollar General.

A female passenger in the vehicle stated the car was hers and that a tag that did not belong on the vehicle was placed there because they were working on the car.

Eaton, the driver, was arrested for driving under suspension 3rd. Another passenger in the vehicle, Hawkins, was arrested after a bag of marijuana was located in his pocket. During a search of the vehicle, a home safe with jewelry and other items was found in the trunk. A hold was placed on Hawkins with the ACSO for theft of the safe which had been stolen from a residence in Piedmont. J. Turner. M. Clardy investigated.

Feb. 25 – Franklin Douglas Watts, 47, 2271 Cannon Bottom Road, Belton was arrested for shoplifting a box of tampons valued at $4.25 from Dollar General. Watts was located next door at the 7 Eleven. M. Clardy investigated.

Feb. 25 – Sheila Denise Anderson, 50, 2206 White Horse Road, Greenville was arrested for shoplifting after officers were dispatched to Dollar General, 8 Main St. Items found in her vehicle included 2 Gain Fireworks packages and three Air Wick refills valued at $25. She was also wanted by Greenville City for failure to appear for shoplifting. She was arrested and placed on trespass notice for the store. M. Clardy investigated.

Feb. 20 – Gregory Chance Durham, 24, 20 Prize Pole Lane, West Pelzer was arrested for simple possession of marijuana after a vehicle was observed on Hwy. 20 with a tail light burned out. Marijuana measured at 2.35 grams was found on a female passenger in the vehicle, who was not arrested. B. Maxwell investigated.

Feb. 20 – Jose Aurelio Gonzales, 43, 167 N. Charles Drive Greenville was arrested for no drivers license after a vehicle was observed on Main Street with blue lights under the vehicle. B. Maxwell investigated.

Feb. 18 – Allyson, Layne Perry, 18, 4 Marguerite Street Apt. 3, West Pelzer reported two tires slashed on her 2007 Hyundai. M. Clardy investigated.

Feb. 18 – Kimberly Renee Keeler, 50, 199 Mill Street Apt. I 4 reported an aluminum rim valued at $300 taken from behind her apartment. B. Maxwell investigated.
