THORTON HAVEN HILL, JAMES E. GRAY, TERRY ENLOE, BETTY JO BURTON, RANDOLPH SCOTT SR., MILTON JAMES, BOYD FRANKLIN MOORE JR.

THORTON HAVEN HILL 

Thorton Haven Hill, 70, of Easley, husband of Linda Harvey Hill, died Monday, March 2, 2015.

Born in Covington, VA, he was the son of the late Onnie Haven and Alva Bernice Hill.

He was founder of Imperial Trash & Recycling Service in Woodbridge, VA and was owner of Riverview Mobile Home Park.

Surviving in addition to his wife are daughters, Terri Otero of Piedmont, Lisa Jacob of Easley;  four grandchildren;  two great-grandchildren; sister, Harriet Craft.

Memorial services were held Saturday, March 7 in the chapel of Robinson Funeral Home.

JAMES E. GRAY 

James E. Gray, 81, of Piedmont, died Sunday, March 1, 2015 at the McCall Hospice House, Simpsonville.

Funeral service was held Saturday, March 7 at the Beasley Funeral Home Chapel, Greenville. Burial followed in the Golden View Baptist Church Cemetery.

TERRY ENLOE

Vernon Terry Enloe, 69, of Pelzer, husband of Debra Locke Enloe, died at McCall Hospice House on Tuesday, March 10, 2015.

Born in Greenville, he was a son of Frances Kidd Enloe of Easley and the late Vernon Melvin Enloe. He was retired owner/operator of Enloe’s Body Shop and also a Vietnam Navy veteran.

Also surviving are children, Bridget Baker of Greenville and Geoff Locke of Pelzer; one granddaughter; sister, Kay Gudger; brother, Johnny Enloe.

Visitation will be held from 2:30 – 3:30 p.m. Thursday at Gray Mortuary, Pelzer with the funeral following at 3:30 in the funeral home chapel.  Burial will be at Forest Lawn Memorial Park, Anderson.

Memorials may be made to the Greenville County Humane Society, 305 Airport Rd., Greenville, SC 29607.

BETTY JO BURTON 

WILLIAMSTON – Betty Jo Burton, 82, widow of John Milton Burton, passed away Wednesday, March 4, 2015 at her home.

Born in Pueblo, Colorado, she was a daughter of the late George D. and Evalina Hughes Holladay.  She was a homemaker and a member of Big Creek Baptist Church.

Survivors include son, John M. Burton, Jr. (Melody) of Simpsonville; daughter, Evie West (Donald) of Anderson; three sisters, Mary Lumly, Erma Mara and Martha Holladay; five grandchildren; seven great-grandchildren.

Visitation was held from 10-11 a.m. Friday at Big Creek Baptist Church.

The funeral service followed at 11 a.m. at the church with burial in the church cemetery.

RANDOLPH SCOTT SR.

Randolph Scott, Sr., 59, of Piedmont, died Thursday, March 5, 2015 at his home.

Funeral service was held Sunday, March 8 at Flat Rock Baptist Church. Burial followed in the church cemetery.

MILTON JAMES

Milton James, 59, of Greenville, died Wednesday, March 4, 2015 at his home.

Born in Spartanburg, he was the son of Dorothy Glenn James and the late John D. James.

Surviving in addition to his mother are; sisters, Brenda Cofield of Charlotte, NC and Anita James of Simpsonville; brothers, David James of Simpsonville, Johnny James of Powdersville, and Kenneth James of Mauldin.

Memorial service was held on Saturday, March 7 at Watkins, Garrett & Woods Mortuary with private burial.

BOYD FRANKLIN MOORE, JR.

Boyd Franklin Moore, Jr., 89, of Easley, husband of Maxine Murrell Moore, died Friday, March 6, 2015 at AnMed Health Medical Center.

He was born in Piedmont to the late Boyd Franklin, Sr. and Sally Sherman Moore. He was a U.S. Navy veteran of World War II, and was the owner of Moore’s Grocery.

In addition to his wife, he is survived by four children, Donald B. Moore of Belton, Sandra Moore of Easley, Lynn Moore Clement,  Jr. of Nashville, TN, and Mark S. Moore of Columbia; and one sister, Shelby Jean Couch of Piedmont; and numerous grandchildren and great-grandchildren.

Funeral service was held March 10 in the Chapel of Robinson Funeral Home, Downtown Easley. Interment followed at Robinson Memorial Gardens in Easley.
