FRANCES TERRELL

Mary Frances Grant Terrell, 90, of Williamston, widow of Thomas Arling “Tom” Terrell, died April 25, 2015.

Born in Gastonia, North Carolina, she was the daughter of the late George Lester and Florence Little Grant. She was a homemaker and a member of Laurel Baptist Church, Greenville.

Survivors include, children, Francine Hines of Knoxville, TN, John Terrell of Campobello, Kathy Groves of Anderson, Belinda Thompson of Pelzer, Steve Terrell of Fountain Inn, Bill Terrell of Portland, OR; 14 grandchildren; 24 great-grandchildren; and one great-great-grandchild.

Funeral service was held Tuesday, April 28, in the Chapel of Gray Mortuary, Pelzer. Burial followed at McDowell Memorial Park, Marion, NC.

Memorials may be made to the charity of one’s choice.

JOANN AYERS

Joann Rogers Ayers, 76, of Anderson, died Thursday, April 23, 2015 at her home.

Born in Williamston, she was daughter of the late DeWitt Rogers and Eunice Irby Rogers and wife of the late Ray Ayers.

She was a member of Freedom Center Church and retired from F.W. Woolworth.

She is survived by sons, Lamar Ayers, Bobby Ayers; brothers, Duane Rogers, Gary Rogers, Ray Rogers; sister, Bonnie Bryant; two grandchildren; and five great-grandchildren.

Funeral service was held at Freedom Center Church on Sunday, April 26. Burial followed in New Silverbrook Cemetery.

BETH ANN WELLS

Beth Ann Bowen Wells, 56, of Pelzer, wife of James “Jim” Eldwin Wells, died Friday, April 24, 2015.

Born in Oskaloosa, IA, she was a daughter of the late, Steve Clinton Bowen and Harryette Louise Griffis. She was a member of Ware Place Church of God.

In addition to her husband, she is survived by daughters, Meredith Wells-Border of Greenville and Savannah Wells of Pelzer; sons, Ryan Bowen Hynick of Oskaloosa, IA, James Wells Jr. of Simpsonville, Kenneth Wells of Starr, Bryan Wells of Piedmont and Alex Wells of Simpsonville; sisters, Virginia Turnbull of Little Rock, AR; Gerry Denney of Cedar Rapids, IA and Cathy Adamson of Laurens; brothers, Stephen Bowen of Oskaloosa, IA and Bruce Bowen of Little Rock, AR; and 10 grandchildren.

Funeral service was held Tuesday, April 28 in the Chapel of Gray Mortuary, Pelzer. Burial followed at Greenville Memorial Gardens.

BOBBY FULLER

Bobby L. Fuller, 44, of Piedmont, died Tuesday, April 21, 2015 at Easley Baptist Hospital in Easley.

Funeral services were held Monday, April 27 at Reedy Fork Baptist Church in Simpsonville. Burial followed at Greenville Memorial Gardens.

VICKY ALEXANDER

PELZER—Vicky Lynn Williams Alexander, 58, wife of Barry Wayne Alexander, died April 23, 2015.

Born in Greenville County, she was a daughter of the late Odell and Bobbie Garrett Williams. A loving mother and grandmother, she was a member of Calvary Baptist Church and was formerly employed with Greenville Health System.

In addition to her husband, she is survived by daughter, Tracy Gambrell Roach (B.J.) of Liberty; step-sons, Dusty, Nathan and Tyler Alexander; brothers, David and Ricky Williams, sisters, Betty Henry, Jennifer Childress, all of Piedmont; grandchildren, Elias and Andrella Roach; step-grandchildren, Gage, Ava and Clayton.

Visitation was held Sunday, April 26, from 2:00 – 3:00 at Gray Mortuary. The funeral followed in the mortuary chapel at 3:00. Burial was held at Greenville Memorial Gardens.

The family is at the home of Wanda and Fred Alexander, 432 Old River Road, Pelzer, S.C. 29669.

BARBARA CLINKSCALES

Barbara Jean Clinkscales, 75, of Williamston, died Tuesday at AnMed Health Center.

Born in Anderson County, she was daughter of the late Paris Posey and Nannie Marshall.

She was a member of New Hopewell Baptist Church.

Surviving are three daughters Marilyn Clinkscales, Betty Richardson, and Shirley Blanding; one son, Michael Clinkscales; three sisters, Slyvenia White, Helen Byrd, and Virginia Ware; one brother, Robert Marshall; three grandchildren; and five great-grandchildren.

Funeral service was held Sunday at New Hopewell Baptist Church. Burial followed in the church cemetery.

JAMES EARL ATKINS JR.

James Earl “Jimmy” Atkins, Jr., 43, of Gray Court, died Thursday, April 23, 2015.

Born in Greenville, he was the son of James Earl Atkins, Sr. and the late Marie Katherine Lewis Thompson.

He was the Supply Chain Director at Southern Weaving.

Surviving in addition to his father are children, Johnathan Bragg of Greenville, Justin Brag of Laurens, and Courtney Jacobs of Woodruff; brother, Jamie Robert Atkins of Williamston; sister, Lynn West of Greenville; grandmother, Evie Bailey of Piedmont; and one granddaughter.

Funeral service was held Tuesday, April 28 at Thomas McAfee Funeral Home. Burial followed in Graceland East Memorial Park.

ANNETTE HUFF WYATT

Annette Huff Wyatt, 85, of Piedmont, wife of George Harold Wyatt, Sr., died Friday, April 24, 2015 at Hosanna Health and Rehab.

Born in Anderson County, she was a daughter of the late Duff and Maud Moore Huff.

She retired from JP Stevens, Piedmont Plant and was a member of Piedmont United Methodist Church.

In addition to her husband, she is survived by son, George Harold Wyatt, Jr.; daughter, Gretchen W. Craig; and four grandchildren.

Funeral services were held Sunday, April 26 in the chapel of Robinson Funeral Home-Downtown. Burial followed at Greenville Memorial Gardens.

BRAD D. PAYNE

Brad D. Payne, 41, of Piedmont, died April 22, 2015.

Surviving are parents, Steve and Marion Payne; and brother, Steve H. Payne.

The family received friends Sunday, April 26 at Piedmont United Methodist Church.

Memorials may be mae to Piedmont United Methodist Church, Asbury Youth Camp.

DONALD B. WRIGHT

Donald B. Wright, 71, husband of Carolyn Shockley Wright, died Wednesday, April 22, 2015 at McCall Hospice House in Simpsonville.

Born in Greenville, he was a son of the late W.C. and Floretta B. Wright.

Surviving in addition to his wife are one daughter, Cheryl Wright Lee of Greenville; step-daughter, Tamarra Barr of Powdersville; six grandchildren; one brother, Leo Wright of Liberty; and one sister, Cleo Wright of Iva.

Memorials may be made to Open Arms Hospice, 1836 W. Georgia Road, Simpsonville, SC 29680.

A celebration of life will be held at a later date.

KATHARYN ELLEN JONES

Katharyn Ellen Jones, 73, of Pelzer, died Thursday, April 16, 2015.

Surviving are her husband, Melvin “Woody” Jones; three sons, Duane of Westminster, Gentry of Holly Springs, NC, Jody of Wellford; 11 grandchildren; and seven great-grandchildren.

She was a member of Pelzer Church of God and retired from Eastern Business Forms in Greenville.

ALENE ‘NANNIE’ GINN

PELZER – Mae Alene “Nannie” Brady Ginn, 80, was called to her heavenly home during the night on Sunday, April 26, 2015.

She was the widow of William Junior Ginn and the daughter of the late Lee Roy and Rosanna Heatherly Brady.

She was retired from Stone Manufacturing Company and spent her remaining years helping, teaching and loving her grandchildren.

She was a member of the last graduating class of the old Pelzer High School.

She is survived by her only child, Terrie Ginn Smith and Jack Russell, Spliffy, of the home. She also leaves behind the love and pride of her heart, grandson, Sean Ryan and Ally Smith of Pelzer, granddaughter, Shannon Rosanna and Travis Crosby of Summerville, SC.  She just recently was blessed with the joy of a great-grandson, Cash William Smith of Pelzer.

Additional survivors include sisters, Mrs. Margaret Creamer of West Pelzer and Mr. and Mrs. Joe (Barbara) Ross of Belton; special niece, Tasha Self of Lawndale, NC; nephews, Todd and Tracey Creamer of Williamston.

She was a member of Pelzer Church of God and had tremendous faith.

A private memorial service will be held for the family.

CLARENCE L. STEGALL

Clarence Lee Stegall, 90, of Piedmont, husband of the late Lois I. Stegall, died Saturday, April 25, 2015 at St. Francis Hospital in Greenville.

Born in Pendleton, he was a son of the late Hovie E. Stegall and Sudie Kay Stegall.

He was a member of Six & Twenty Baptist Church.

He was a U.S. Navy veteran and owner/operator of Clarence Stegall Trucking Company.

Surviving are two daughters, Lynn S. O’Connell of Easley and Sue Stegall Henson of Hickory, NC; son, Lee Stegall of Easley; six grandchildren; two brothers, Paul E. Stegall of Greenville and Joe M. Stegall of Anderson.

Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m. Thursday at Sullivan-King Mortuary with military honors. Private burial will be held at Six & Twenty Baptist Church cemetery.

The family will receive friends immediately after the service at Sullivan-King Mortuary.

The family is at the home, 103 Ramblewood Drive, Piedmont.

MARGARET MILLIGAN ALLSEP

Margaret Milligan Allsep, 87, of Greenville, died Monday, April 27, 2015.

Born in Piedmont, she was a member of First Baptist Church in Mauldin.

Surviving are two daughters, Kathy Gaines and Rebecca Givens; two grandchildren; and six great-grandchildren.

Visitation will be held Thursday, April 30 from noon to 1:15 p.m. at Thomas McAfee Funeral Home, Southeast Chapel. Funeral service will follow at 1:30 p.m.

Burial will be in Greenville Memorial Gardens.

ARTHUR EARL POSEY

Arthur Earl Posey, 63, of Pelzer, died Saturday, April 25, 2015.

Funeral service will be held at 2 p.m. Thursday, April 30 at the Beasley Funeral Home Chapel, Greenville. Burial will be in the Shady Grove Baptist Church Cemetery.
