Single vehicle accident – H.I. Taylor Road

Whitefield firefighters assist Williamston EMS in removing two patients following an accident on H. I. Taylor Road Sunday afternoon. The car apparently ran off the road and the driver overcorrected before it left the roadway and was suspended over a creek, with the front on the bank and the rear on a large concrete culvert. Two occupants managed to get out on their own while two could not get out. Firefighters secured the vehicle with ropes and other devices while EMS and firefighters freed the patients. At least two were taken to the hospital by EMS. Pelzer EMS also assisted in transporting the injured. (Photo by David Rogers)
