Weeks of June 2 – June 15

Williamston Police Officers investigated the following incidents:

June 2 – Travis Lee Page, 29, 12 Liberty St., Piedmont was arrested for driving under suspension, open container and false information to police after offcers observed a white car on Main St traveling 41 mph in a 35 mph zone on Main St. An open beer can was found on the floor board next to the driver and Page gave his name as Michael Page. M. Crowe, M. E. Simmons investigated.

June 3 – Talya Danae Starrett, 24, 194 Old River Rd., Pelzer was issued a ticket for driving under suspension after a white vehicle was observed on North Main and Hamilton without any working tail lights. She was issued a warning ticket for the taillights. Z. T. Parks investigated.

June 4 – Gene Steven Johnson, Lakanwood Ln. Piedmont reported a hit and run incident in which a black truck backed into his car on Spring Street and left the scene. Z. T. Parks investigated.

June 5 – Patricia Ann Barger, 52, 104 Tripp St., Williamston was arrested for simple assault after officers responded to the address in reference to a fight in progress. According to reports Barger was chasing Curtis Leland Stidham with a machete and trying to harm him. A witness confirmed it. During the investigation, Barger yelled and cursed at officers and stated Stidham had been hitting her for a few days and she was trying to get him to stop. Due to probable cause, Barger was arrested. During transport she kicked out the rear passenger side window of the patrol car and attempted to jump out. West Pelzer was called to help restrain her in a seatbelt. En route to the detention center on I-85 she again attempted to jump out of the broken window and Anderson County Sheriffs Office was called to assist. Deputy T. Cook arrived and Barger was transported to the ACDC without further incident. R. Drennon investigated.

June 6 – Dorothy Louise Payton,32, 1017 Brock St., Anderson was arrested for public disorderly conduct after being observed at Traxler Avenue and Mill Street. According to reports she was stumbling and then being loud and using obcenities while talking to officers. M. E. Simmons investigated.

June 8 -Williamston officers responded to Dollar General, 526 West Main St. in reference to a possible shoplifter. No arrest was made, however Jennifer Ann Sexton, 42, 110 Pinewood Dr., Williamston was placed on trespass notice. J. T. Hunt investigated.

June 8 – Tommie Amber Couvilier, 30, 169F Lesley Rd., Pelzer was issued a summons for operating an uninsured vehicle after a blue SUV was observed making a right turn off Minor Street onto Ida Tucker St., without coming to a complete stop at the four way stop. Couvilier was issued a warning for disregarding the stop sign. M. E. Simmons investigated.

June 9 – Daniel Keith Rogers, 28, 127 Watt Rogers Rd., Pelzer reported an anto break-in in which two CD cases full of CDs and a license plate were taken from his vehicle. The items were valued at $101. There were no signs of forced entry. A black four door Honda with tinted windows and chrome wheels was reported in the area driving slow. M. E. Simmons investigted.

June 11 – James Edward Ramsey, 59, 93 Main St., Pelzer was arrested for possession of a schedule IV controlled substance after being observed going from one side of the lane to the other while on Anderson Drive. Upon stopping the vehicle, a clear plastic baggie containing seven pieces of a white type tablet, later confirmed as Xanax, was found in his possession. Sgt. K. J. Winn investigated.

June 11 – Chris Coleman, Town of Williamston employee reported a broken window in the old water treatment plant. Damage was estimated at $150. K. S. Looney investigated.

June 11 – Two people were issued citations for criminal domestic violence against each other after officers responded to 6 McDonald Ave., Williamston in reference to a domestic dispute. Due to the fact that both had visible injuries on them and the primary agressor could not be determined, they were both ticketed. According to reports, Sonya Lynn Roof, 47, 6 McDonald Ave., Williamston was arrested for criminal domestic violence 3rd after officers responded to the residence. Roof was also issued a ticket for a glass pipe that had burnt marijuana in it that was found on the property . The marijuana field tested positive. The other party, a male identified only as McClellion, was also issued a citation for domestic violence 3rd degree in connection with the incident. K. S. Looney, C. Samuel investigated.

June 12 – Donna Renee Mitchell reported items including Matrix, Kenra, Provana and Balage hir colors, a GiGi wax machine and wax, and 10, 20, 30 and 40 developer products missing from her beauty shop Studio M Hair Salon at 103B Belton Dr. The items were valued at $42. The incident remains under investigation. Investigating officers B. Peterson and Cpl. L. E. Mulz.

June 12 – Daniel Adams McAlister, 30, 102 W 2nd St., Williamston was arrested for criminal domestic violence 3rd degree after officers responded to the residence in reference to a domestic situation in which a female identified as Tina Owens was struck under the eye while McAlister was attempting to take away her cell phone. N. Robison, C. Samuel investigated.

June 12 – Samantha Lynn Turner, 35, 118 W 3rd St. Williamston reported the driver’s side glass window busted out of her car that was parked in the front yard. An unidentified male was seen running from the scene carrying a blunt and curved metal object in his hand. Damage was estimated at $500. J. T. Hunt, S. N. Robison investigated.

June 13 – A Williamston resident brought a wallet she found in the roadway to the Williamston police department where it was placed into evidence. S. N. Robison investigated.

June 15 – Daniel Richard Morrison Jr., 28, 1175 Old Pelzer Rd., Piedmont was arrested for outstanding warrants with Greenville County after officers observed a white Ford F150 truck on Hill St. S. N. Robison, J. T. Hunt investigated.

June 15 – Toby Wayne Roberts, Jr. 21, 210 Sweetgum Circle, Williamston was arrested for operating an uninsured vehicle, simple possession of marijuana after a black and grey Honda that fit the description of a vehicle suspected to be in the area with a runaway juvenile, was observed in the West Main parking lot. Upon stopping the vehicle, a bud of marijuana was found in the vehicle. The runaway female juvenile was alsoin the vehicle along with another male passenger. M. E. Simmons investigated.
