Andeson County Sheriff’s Deputies investigated the following:

EASLEY

July 17 – R.A. Sparkman received a telephone report from Peggy Galloway, of 619 Old Williamston Rd. that someone had stolen her riding lawn mower valued at $1600.

July 17 – A.F. Acevedos responded to the QT convenience store at 3450 Hwy. 153, where he took Randy Manley, WM, 28, 5’9″, 180 pounds, into custody for shoplifting as well as for an active arrest warrant for another incident of shoplifting. He was transported to ACDC.

July 18 – C.K. Cowan was on patrol near the area of Hwy. 81 and Hwy. 153 when he observed a brown van speeding. He stopped the van and subsequently discovered that the driver, Cleotrace Dillard, BF, 50, 5’4″, 160 pounds, to be driving on a suspended license.

July 19 – J.M. Pelfrey responded to 501 Shiloh Church Rd. where Daniel Ison reported that someone had broken into his home and stole a Taurus .357 revolver and jewelry valued at $70.00. The total loss was estimated at $420.

July 19 – J.M. Culbertson responded to the WalMart at 11410 Anderson Rd. where he took Terrence Curtis , BM, 39, 5’10″, 180 pounds into custody for shoplifting clothing valued at $256.

PIEDMONT

July 18 – K.D. Watt responded to the SavWay at 1004 Hwy. 86 where Tonya Ramsey reported that a white male, approximately 5 feet tall, with short blond hair had driven off after putting $28.36 worth of gas in a newer model silver Toyota Camry, driven by a blond woman.

July 19 – B.C. Johnson was on patrol near Hwy. 86 and I-85 when he saw a truck cross the center line several times. He made a stop and subsequently discovered that the driver, Brian Standard, WM, 33, 5’10″, 285 pounds, brn/brn, to have a suspended license. He took him into custody and transported him to ACDC.

July 19 – J.K. Vickery was dispatched to 205 Saluda Dr. , to Apt. 25 where he took Joey McClain into custody for being in possession of a stolen vehicle.

July 19 – J.M. Culbertson responded to J.A. Cigar Bar at 2910 Hwy. 86 where owner R.J. Posey reported the theft of $350 from his cash register. He stated that he believed an employee stole the money, and requested forensic process the scene.

WILLIAMSTON

July 17 – P.D. Marter and B. Surratt were dispatched to 142 G St. in response to a domestic situation. En route dispatch advised them that the subject had called and threatened harm to the police and to the female victim if they showed up. They enlisted two Williamston Police cars and a West Pelzer unit also responded. They approached quietly on foot and were able to safely escort Tabatha Fortune, WF, 19, from the front porch to safety. She told them that her boyfriend Zachary Parson was inside with a shotgun and that she had been in fear of her life They then called out to Parson, WM, 24, 6’4″, 200 pounds, brn/blue to come outside, which he eventually did. He was taken into custody and transported to ACDC.

July 17 – A.F. Acevedos received a telephone report from Lisa Hawkins, of 617 H I Taylor Rd. reporting the theft of her license tag# HBJ528.

July 17 – A.F. Acevedos responded to 313 Irby Rd. to the Anderson Speedway where Kayla Shelton reported that someone had broken the front passenger window in her car while she was at the race.
