August 8 – J.A. Clark and C.P. Huff were dispatched to 1922 Old Pendleton Rd. in an attempt to serve warrants on a subject. Upon arrival, Clark made contact with Derek Williams, WM, 34, ‘, 205 pounds, blond/green, of 421 McAlister Rd. in Williamston.

He found Williams sitting in a 2005 Chevy Silverado pickup, and ordered him to exit the vehicle. Williams refused. Clark observed a handgun in the truck within Williams’ reach and again ordered him out of the vehicle. A subsequent records search revealed the 2005 Silverado to be stolen from Oconee County. A 1993 Silverado on the scene came back as stolen from Clemson.
