Williamston Police busy with drug, alcohol and various other incidents

Williamston Police Officers investigated the following incidents over a two week period:

July 30 – Michael Austin Sellers, 21, 401 Surrine St., Honea Path was arrested for possession of drug paraphernalia after officers weire dispactched to 416 Belton Drive, Townhouse Apts. in reference to a suspicious person. A hypodermic needle was found in his left front pocket. When he was arrested, Sellers was pushing a baby stroller which contained several items of clothing and a hand dryer mounted to a piece of wood. S. N. Robison investigated.

July 30 – Michael Austin Sellers, 21, 401 Surrine St., Honea Path was arrested for theft after a town employee reported the hand dryer had been stolen from the women’s restroom in Mineral Spring Park. S. N. Robision investigated.

July 30 – John Lamarkus Dennis, 22, 715 Beachwood Ave., Anderson was arrested for failure to stop for blue lights, speeding and no drivers license after a jeep Grand Cherokee was observed traveling 50 mph in a 35 mph zone on Anderson Drive. The vehicle also had a non working taillight and a paper tag. As the officer attempted to stop the vehicle, the driver accelerated swerving in and out of traffic at speeds of 90 mph.

The chase was terminated at Willingham Road for safety of others. As the officer returned toward town, dispatch notified him that a wreck had occurred on Hwy. 20 Connector at Hwy. 29 involving a vehicle matching the description of the pursuit vehicle.

Two males were ejected from the wrecked vehicle and were transported to Greenville Memorial Hospital. Dennis admitted to being the driver and stated he wrecked due to a deer running in front of the vehicle. Z. T. Parks investigated.

July 31 – Kelly Andrew Viers, 65, 502 Palmetto Rd., Williamston, was arrested at 305 West Main St. an outstanding warrant with Anderson County. K. S. Looney, J. Sargent investigated.

July 31 – Paul Michael Fisher, 43, 1515 Cannon Bottom Rd., Belton was arrested for outstanding bench warrant with Anderson County after he was observed on a bicycle carrying a ladder. T. L. Eichelberger investigated.

Aug. 1 – Christopher Jared Partain, 26, 101 Lander St., Williamston was arrested for disorderly conduct after officers were dispatched to the location in reference to a white male on the porch attempting to open the front door. J. T. Hunt investigated.

Aug. 1 – April K. Lluvera, 33, 100 Town Square Dr. reported a window broken on the driver’s side door of her vehicle. Damage was estimated at $200. K. S. Looney investigated.

Aug. 1 – Robert Lamar Beddingfield, 41, 9W 4th St., Williamston ws arrested for CDV third degree after officers were dispatched to the residente in reference to a domestic dispute. J. T. Hunt investigated.

Jeffrey Shane McClain, 32, 203 Williams St. Extension, Williamston was arrested for outstanding bench wrrant with Anderson County after officers were dispatched to E Third St., in reference to shots being fired.

During the investigation four people were observed coming from the wood line on West 1st Street. While running them through dispatch, McClain was found to have an outstanding warrant for driving under suspension. J. T. Hunt investigated.

Aug. 3 – Cynthia M Brock, 36, 2 W 1st St. Williamton reported an unknown person broke into the residence. Reports state two windows were broken, the front door was unlocked and several cabinets were left open. It was unclear if anything was taken from the residence which had been vacant for some time. M. E. Simmons, Z. T. Parks investigated.

Aug. 4 – Alezandria Nicole Watson, 23, 23 McClellion St., Williamston was arrested for possession of drug paraphernalia after being observed walking with another person on Academy St. A pipe commonly used to smoke methamphetamine was found on her person. Cpl. L. E. Mulz investigated.

Aug. 4 – Michael Dwayne tucker, 25, 313 Belton Dr., Williamston reported a 2007 Yamaha R6 motorcycle stolen from a shed. The yellow and black motorcycle was valued at $5000. J. Sargent investigated.

Aug. 4 – Eliar Keliar Torres Jr., 52, 505 Gossett Dr., Williamston reported a clock valued at $50 taken from the residence by his “soon to be ex”. The incident remains under investigation. M. E. Simmons investigated.

Aug. 7 – Tracy Lynn Owens, 43, 8 Academy Dr., Williamston was arrested for possession of methamphetamine, drug paraphernalia and open container after a blue Volvo was observed leaving the Sav-Way with a tag light and brake light out.

An open 24 ounce can of House Edge beer was found in the vehicle. A pocket book also had a plastic baggie with a green leafy substance believed to be marijuana, a green smoking bowl with burnt residue, 1.5 ounce rolling paper, one yellow drinking straw cut short, small pink container with crystal like substance field tested positive as methamphetamine and one tablet. Aug. 5 – Pamela Philips Childress, 57, 207 McDonald AVe., Wililamston reported a silver 2002 Dodge Durango stolen from the residence. The vehicle was valued at $5800. S. T. Parks investigated.

Aug. 9 – Sav-Way, 309 West Main St., Williamston reported a gas drive off in which an elderly black man in a gold color Buick Lesabre pumped $23.09 in gas and left without paying. Z. T. Parks investigated.

Aug. 10 – Tyler James Stone, 30, 120 Epps Rd., Belton was arrested for outstanding bench warrant after he turned himself in and stated he could not afford to pay a fine for shoplifting charges. T. L. Eichelberger investigated.

Aug. 11 – Whitney Marie Harrison, 26, 230 Country Glen Lane Pelzer was arrested by SC Hwy. Patrol for driving under the influence after officers observed a white SUV make a right turn at Greenville Drive and Tripp St. at a light that is posted no turn on red. She was issued a warning for disregarding the traffic signal. K. S. Looney, Sgt. K. J. Winn investigated.
