Anderson County Sheriff’s Deputies investigated the following:

EASLEY

Sept. 5 – C.P. Huff and A.P. Barron responded to the WalMart in Powdersville where they took Allison Stansell, WF, 34, 5’5″, 110 pounds, blond/blue for shoplifting, and transported her to ACDC.

Sept. 6 – R.D. Phillips received a telephone complaint from Mark Maddox, of Belton, that someone had stolen his wife’s back pack and wallet from their car while they were in the Cracker Barrel on Hwy. 153. The loss was estimated at $115.

Sept. 6 – C.P. Huff and A.P. Barron responded to 123 Turner Trail, where Harley Mason reported that an argument between her and her live-in boyfriend had escalated to a physical confrontation. She wouldn’t sign a complaint, and no arrests were made.

PELZER

Sept. 5 – J.D. Sparkman responded to 113 Spearman Rd. where Taural Williams reported that she returned home , and upon entering, found a window open. Deputies Huff and Barron also responded and the three officers cleared the house. Williams said that $600 in cash was missing from her bedroom.

Sept. 6 -J.R. Brunson was dispatched to 403 Guthrie Church Rd. where Lindsey Martin reported that someone had broken into her car while she was at church and stolen a wallet valued at $30.

Sept. 7 – J.M. Culbertson responded to 15 Smith St. where Lynn Duvall reported that a friend of her son, identified only as Christopher, had come to the house and asked to use her phone. After he left she discovered that her phone and a quantity of Xanax medication was missing from the end table that the phone was on. The loss was estimated at $600.

PIEDMONT

Sept. 4 – J.D. Sparkman responded to 1805 Hwy. 86 where Jonathan Cox, WM, 23 reported that his uncle, Johnny Cox, WM, 39 had become irate when he was asked to vacate the premises and began breaking objects and screaming. Jonathan Cox stated that his uncle threatened him with a hammer, and damaged the door Jonathan was pinned against during the altercation. The uncle was arrested on a charge of assault and battery, third degree, and transported to ACDC.

Sept. 5 – R.D. Phillips was on the desk when she received a telephone complaint from Justin Watson, WM, 34 of Liberty who said he had gone to a home off of River Road that morning to buy a television from the subject, identified only as Thomas. Phillips said the subject became aggressive and assaulted him, injuring his arm and ankle. He reported that his car was also damaged by the subject who was wielding a metal rod of some sort. He drove to the ACSO headquarters to have his injuries and the damage to his car verified. He estimated the damage at $500.

Sept. 5 – R.D. Phillips was on the desk at ACSO when she received a telephone report from Paige Caraway, who was calling for her mother, Martha Rosamond, 86. A couple had come to Mrs. Rosamond’s house and asked to use her bathroom. While inside, they stole her wallet. The loss was estimated at $65.

WILLIAMSTON

Sept. 5 – J.T. Smith responded to 19 Crawford Rd. where Marcus Allen reported the theft of two 8″ Lowrance screens from his bass boat. The loss was estimated at $500.
