Williamston Police Report

Williamston Police officers investigated a number of drug related incidents over the last week. Among them were:

Nov. 22 – Officer J. T. Hunt was dispatched to South Academy Street in reference to a fight involving several suspects and one person possibly with a gun. Upon investigation there were several subjects on scene but no one wanted to pursue charges.

Nov. 22 – Dollar General, 526 West Main St., Williamston reported a shoplifting incident in which a black male approximately 50 years old placed several medications into his shirt. The man left without paying and got into a black Eclipse with black rims driven by a white male. The items were valued at $50. J. T. Hunt investigated.

Nov. 21 – Brianna Laine Wynn, 20, 4 Marguerite St., #8, Pelzer was arrested for minor in possession of alcohol after her vehicle was observed in the middle of the road on North Hamilton St. with the hood up. Several Bud Light beer cans were on the passenger side floorboard. She was issued a citation and transported to 4 Marguerite St., without incident. K. Anthony, T. L. Eichelberger investigated.

Nov. 21 – Hope Maria Spencer, 44, 808 Tripp St,. Williamston was issued a summons for unlawful living in a camper after officers were dispatched in reference to the subject stealing electricity. According to reports, a long extension cord was found which extended from a home at 810 Tripp St. to the camper location at 808 Tripp St. No charges were filed related to the electrical hookup, however Spence was placed on trespass notice for 810 Tripp St. T. Nov. 21 – Rite Aid, 207 East Main St. reported a shoplifting incident in which a white female and a white male entered the store and took items valued at $40. They left in a dark green SUV. Cpl. L. E. Mulz, J. T. Hunt investigated.

Nov. 21 – Lynn Shaw, 6 E. 4th St., Williamston reported a 3×5 fish aquarium valued at $500 missing. J. T. Hunt, Cpl. L. E. Mulz investigated.

Nov. 20 – Catherine Ross, King, 22, 531 Drayton Circle, Anderson was arrested for possession of methamphatamine, possession of a controlled substance and possession of drug paraphernalia after she was found unconscious in a vehicle at the car wash on Greenville Drive. According to reports, a pair of digital scales, two green plastic baggies and a spoon commonly used to melt illegal narcotics into liquid form were all observed in plain view in the vehicle. A search of the vehicle found a container with JOB 1.5 rolling papers, a baggy containing four green pills, half of a pill suspected to be Alprazolam, a small clear pink baggy containing a crystal like shard suspected to be methamphetamine. In her purse officers found a clear baggy containing 4.3 grams of a white powders/crystal like substance field tested positive for methamphetamine, a clear yellow baggy containing approximately .5 grams of a white substance which field test positive for methamphetamine, hypodermic syringes, a pill suspected to be Lortab/hydrocodone, two clear blown glass pipes commonly used for smoking methamphetamine. Nov. 20 – Randy Calvin Saxon, 49, 560 Joe Black Rd., Pelzer was placed on trespass notice for 229 Williamston Court, Parkview Apartments after officers were dispatched to the location in reference to an ex-husband refusing to leave. T. L. Eichelberger investigated.

Nov. 20 – Jonathan Tyler Holliday, 17, 307 Forest Hill, Williamston was arrested for possession of drug paraphernalia and simple possession of marijuana after a Raid Corp, Inc. K9 scent dog alerted on a 1998 Dodge truck in the parking lot at Palmetto High School. A baggie with green leafy substance (less than one gram) was found in the vehicle along with various items of drug paraphernalia. He was transported to ACDC. C. Samuel investigated.

Nov. 20 – Colette Emily Engelberg, 36, 113 Spanish Moss Dr,. Williamston was arrested for driving under the influence after a vehicle was observed traveling at a high rate of speed on Anderson Drive. According to reports the vehicle was going 49 mph in a 35 mph zone. She was arrested after several field sobriety tests. Z. T. Parks investigated.

Nov. 19 – Louie F. Welborn, 47, 416 Belton Dr., Williamston reported a Toshiba laptop, Acer tablet and silver watch taken from the apartment. The items were valued at $850. S. N. Robison investigated.

Nov. 14 – Sharon Danielle Miller, 31, 10 E 4th St., Williamston was arrested for two outstanding bench warrrants with Williamston after officers were dispatched to 16 East 4th St, in reference to a domestic dispute. According to reports she asked if she could take care of her warrants. She was arrested and transported to ACDC. M. Beeman investigated.

Nov. 18 – Amanda Marie Scott, 207 Clinkscales St,. Anderson was arrested for possession of methamphetamine after officers were dispatched to 108 l. St. in reference to a disturbance. According to reports a small baggy containing crystal like shards field tested positive for methamphetamine was found with some of her clothes on the front porch. After obtaining a warrant, Scott was located on West Main St. and arrested. S. N. Robison investigated.

Nov. 18 – Adam Dee Riden, 20, 222 Genevieve Dr,. Belton was arrested for simple possession of marijuana and failure to stop at a stop sign after a white vehicle was observed disregarding a stop sign while crossing East Main St. from Oak St. A passenger identified as Smith was also arrested for simple possession of marijuana. A female juvenile passenger was arrested for minor in possession of tobacco. Several baggies of a green leafy substance believed to be marijuana were found in the vehicle. The two males were transported to ACDC. The female minor was released to a legal guardian. Marijuana from under the drivers seat measured approximately 12 grams, marijuana from a purse measured approximately 12 grams and marijuana in the back seat measured approximately 1 gram.. M. E.
