Williamston Police Officers had a busy Thanksgiving period investigating thefts, making drug arrests and serving outstanding bench warrants. Among incidents investigated were:

Nov. 22 – Michelle Lynn Mussen, 48, 147 Middleton Bld. reported a Smith and Wesson 38 revolver stolen from the apartment. The gun was valued at $500. Z. T. Parks investigated.

Nov. 23 – Bailee Kristen Timmons, 18, 620 Hamilton St, Williamston was arrested for disorderly conduct and issued a courtesy summons after officers observed her standing on the porch yelling and throwing multiple items at her mother who was standing in theparking lot. J. Sargent investigated.

Nov. 23 – Edward Keith Young, 54, 120 Young Dr., Piedmont was arrested for two outstanding bench warrants after Greenville County Detention Center notified that they had him. He was transported to WPD and served with the warrants for DUS and operating an uninsured vehicle, and then transported to Anderson County Detention Center (ACDC) without incident. R. Nov. 24 – Robert Vincent Wood, 37, 840 Garrison Rd., Pelzer was arrested for possession of methamphetamine with intent to distribute after officers observed a gold 1990 Honda on South Hamilton St., without a working rear lights and no vehicle tag. A small shard of crystal like substance was observed on his pants leg. Several small crystal like shards, field tested positive as methamphetamine, were found on the floorboard of the vehicle along with a plastic baggie with white residue. He was arrested and transported to ACDC without incident. S. N. Robison investigated.

Nov. 24 – Officers were dispatched to Hardy and Keys Street in reference to dogs running at large. Three dogs, two white and one black, were observed in the roadway with chains around their throats. Owners could not be located and animal control transported them to the Anderson County Animal Shelter. Z. T. Parks investigated.

Nov. 24 – Angela Diane Burgess, 38, 110 Davis St., Williamston reported items valued at $201 missing from the residence. Missing items included S&W knife $20; Long Pink handle knife $50; Vape battery $35; Amp $150; Pink Ice ring $50; silver wedding band; Lynard Skinner knife $125 and 3 Oxycodone pills. S. N. Robison investigated.

Nov. 26 – ACE Hardware, 29 Pelzer Ave., Williamston reported renting a 20 inch Stihl chainsaw which had not been returned. The chainsaw was valued at $410. J. T Hunt investigated.

Nov. 26 – Heather Renee Whitmore, 24, 17 Virginia Dr., Williamston was arrested for outstanding bench warrant with Iva police department. She was transported to Belton Hwy. and Hwy. 413 to meet with Iva PD where they took custody of her. Cpl. L. E. Mulz investigated.

Nov. 25 – Jason Tyler Sweet, 26, 109 Martin Ct., Williamston was arrested for outstanding bench warrant with Department of Probationand Parole for violation of probation after officers were dispatched to 215 Mauldin St., in reference to a domestic dispute. K. Anthony, T. L. Eichelberger investigated.

Nov. 27 – Clifford Lee Dove, 26, 412 LaFrance Rd,. Anderson was arrested for outstanding bench warrant with WPD after officers were contacted that he was in a vehicle in the parking lot “speaking out of his mind.” He was arrested for outstanding warrants and transported to ACDC. Anderson County Sheriff’’s Office also had an outstanding warrant. S. N. Robison investigated.

Nov. 30 – ACE Hardware, 29 Pelzer Avenue reported a shoplifting incident in which a white male came into the store to return an item and while at the register stole two pink power banks valued at $28. Evidence was to be presented to the judge for an arrest warrant T. L. Eichelberger investigated.

Nov. 30 – Thomas Chase Odom, 17, 6 E. Third St,. Williamston reported a silver and red Mongoose bicycle with two red pegs on the front and one lime green peg on the back stolen from in front of his house. The item was valued at $150. K. Anthony investigated.
