LUTHER NATHAN RIDLEHOOVER

Luther Nathan Ridlehoover, 87, of Piedmont, widower of the late Willie Jo Ridlehoover, died Tuesday, December 1, 2015.

Born in Plum Branch, he was a son of the late William Luther and Mary Sue Ridlehoover.

He was a member of Hephzibah Baptist Church in Wendell,  NC and retired from CSX Railroad.

Surviving are two sons, Joe Ridlehoover and Steve Ridlehoover; six grandchildren; five great-grandchildren; and one brother, Evan Ridlehoover.

A graveside service was held Thursday, December 3 in Plum Branch Cemetery.

Memorials may be made to McCall Hospice House, 1836 W. Georgia Road, Simpsonville, SC 29680.

INELL REVIS HOOVER

Inell Revis Hoover, 79, of Greenville, wife of the late Zebulon Herbert Hoover, died Thursday, December 3, 2015.

Born in Greenville, she was the daughter of the late Otis E. and Katie Lou Phillips Revis.

She worked for Greenville Health System’s ADDLife.

Surviving are daughters, Karen Spain of Fountain Inn, and Elaine Hiott of Easley; four grandchildren; two great-grandchildren; and sister, Doris Waldrop of Piedmont.

Funeral service was held Tuesday, Dec. 8 at Salem United Methodist Church. Burial followed in Greenville Memorial Gardens.

JAMES STONE

James “Stoney” Edward Stone, Jr., 71, of Belton, died Thursday, December 3, 2015.

Born in Conestee, he was a son of the late Hugh W. and Doris Fowler Moon. He was formerly employed with Ken’s Body Shop.

He is survived by daughter, Debbie Stone; sons, Todd Stone and Zachary Stone; five grandchildren; and one great-grandchild, all of Belton.

Funeral service was held Saturday, December 5 at Gray Mortuary, Pelzer.

Memorials may be made to American Cancer Society, 154 Milestone Way, Greenville, SC 29615.

CHARLES REDMOND BROOKS

Charles R. Brooks, 85, of Piedmont, husband of Tillie Brooks, died Friday, December 4, 2015 at his home.

A funeral service was held Monday, Dec. 7 at Conestee First Baptist Church.

Graveside service was held Tuesday, Dec. 8 in Greenville Memorial Gardens.

‘LOLA’ STARGEL

WILLIAMSTON—Emma Wilola James “Lola” Stargel, 76, widow of Jerry Arnold Stargel, died Saturday, December 5, 2015.

Born in Piedmont, she was a daughter of the late Willie and Gertrude Williamson James. Having retired from Provident Life Insurance, she was a member of Guthrie Grove Church of God of the Abrahamic Faith, where she volunteered as secretary. Mrs. Stargel was a member of the Greenville Police Auxiliary, a twenty-four year breast cancer survivor, and a military wife.

Surviving are son, Michael Stargel of Phoenix, AZ; daughter, Donna Smith (Mike) of Easley; brothers, Joe James (Carol) of Piedmont, Keith James (Janie) of Easley; grandchildren, Elizabeth Petric (Stephen), Joshua (Lara) Smith, Elijah Stargel; great-grandchildren, Emma and Reagan Smith.

Visitation was held Monday, December 7, from 10:30 – 12:00 at Guthrie Grove Church of God of the Abrahamic Faith. The funeral followed at noon. Burial was held at the church cemetery.

ROGER WELBORN, JR.

BELTON—Roger Dale Welborn, Jr., 34, husband of Lauren Campbell Welborn, died Saturday, December 5, 2015.

Born in Greenville, he was a son of Roger Dale Welborn, Sr. (Lynn) of Williamston, and Mary Morton Page of Williamston. He was a self-employed home remodeler.

In addition to his wife and parents, survivors include son, Hunter Dale and Hayden Campbell Welborn of Johnston, SC; sisters, Jennifer Ford of Belton, Lindsey Garner, Haley Purvines, Katie Purvines, all of Williamston; brother, Matthew Welborn of Williamston.

Visitation was held Wednesday, December 9 from 3:00 to 4:00 pm at Gray Mortuary. The funeral followed at 4:00 pm in the mortuary chapel.

MADELINE HENDERSON

WILLIAMSTON – Madeline Tudor Henderson, 69, wife of Billy Randall Henderson, passed away Sunday, December 6, 2015.

Born in Lafayette, GA, she was a daughter of the late Lawrence and Ruby Lee Parsons Tudor.  She was formerly employed with H & R Block and a member of Trinity Baptist Tabernacle.

In addition to her husband, she is survived by daughter, Jana Henderson Bledsoe (Evan) of Cumming, GA; sons, Randy Henderson (Krista) of Trion, GA and David Henderson (Christy) of Williamston; grandchildren, McKenzie Leigh, Peyton Marie, Jodie Grace and Drake Henderson; sisters, Maxine Anderson and Ruby Narmore; brothers, Larry, Tommy, Waymond and Raymond Tudor.

Visitation was held from 6-8 p.m. Tuesday, December 8, at Gray Mortuary, Pelzer.

The service was at 11 a.m. Wednesday in the funeral home chapel. Burial will follow at 12 p.m. Thursday at West Hill Cemetery in Trion, GA.

PATRICIA WALTERS

Patricia Marie Walters, 72, of Piedmont, widow of James Allan Walters, died Nov. 26, 2015.

Surviving are two children, James Allan Walters, Jr. and Brandy Marie Hope; five grandchildren; and one sister, Linda Burdick.

A memorial service will be held in her residence at a later date.

HERMAN BONDS

Celebratory Service for the Life of Herman L. Bonds will be held at 1 p.m. Thursday, Dec. 10 at the Mt. Pleasant Baptist Church, 2208 Beaverdam Road, Williamston. Interment will follow in the church cemetery.
