Piercetown Firefighter Kevin Wood works to extinquish an equipment fire n Martin Road Thursday. The Kershaw Brush cutter and Klearway was preparing the side of Martin Road that is being widened to 3 lanes when the fire broke out. It is unclear what started the fire, but it destroyed the machine that costs $200,000. A cleanup crew was dispatched to the fire to remove all the fluids that were part of the machine and will return when it’s removed, and remove the containmated soil.
