Anderson County Sheriff’’s Deputies investigated the following incidents Mar. 18-20. Reports on incidents earlier in the week were unavailable.

EASLEY

March 20 – T.R. Chapman received a telephone report from Heath Smith that someone had entered his truck while he was at the Powdersville First Baptist Church and stolen his Glock Model 42 .380 caliber pistol and a Codex holster, valued at $550.

PELZER

March 20 – D.T. Owens and C.P. Huff responded to 3 Blakely St. where Zakkary Kelly and Jessica McGee reported that their vehicles had been entered and a variety of personal items and cash, valued at $90, had been stolen.

March 20 – D.T. Owens and C.P. Huff responded to 1 Blake St. where Mark Knight reported that someone had entered his car and shed and stolen various items valued at $245.

PIEDMONT

March 19 – J.D. Sparkman was dispatched to 105 Spring Hill Farm Rd. where Shane Hull reported that someone had entered his vehicle and stolen items valued at $400.

March 19 – J.R. Brunson responded to 9801 Anderson Rd. where Mackenzie Gibson reported the theft of her diamond engagement ring while she was working out at Total Fitness. The loss was estimated at $5000.

March 20 – J.D. Sparkman was dispatched to 901 Anderson St. to the Little General, in response to an anonymous report that the side door to the store was standing open. The owner was contacted. It was unknown what, if anything, had been stolen.

WILLIAMSTON

March 18 – J.J. Pearson responded to 408 H I Taylor Rd. where Michael Revis reported that a white male, 6′, 200 pounds, and short brown hair, name withheld by ACSO, had mashed the taillights in his car and dented the trunk. A neighbor confirmed this account. The damage was estimated at $500.

March 19 – A.G. Bannister responded to 318 Elaine Way where Rowland Dawson reported the theft of to farm gates from his property. The loss was set at $160.

March 19 – M.T. Grant was dispatched to H I Taylor Rd. where he met with Tiffany Whitt, WF, 22, who stated that her live-in boyfriend David Mejia, WM, 23, 5’11″, 152 pounds, of 302 Anita Court, had punched her and shoved her to the ground. She also stated that she is currently nine months pregnant.

Deputy Grant relocated to 302 Anita Court where he placed Mejia under arrest for criminal domestic violence in the third degree and transported him to ACDC.
