MILDRED RAMSEY, KEITH COTHRAN, JIM COWART, CHARLES LAWLESS, ALICE STEWART SHERMAN, MILDRED SPAKE, DEBORAH JEAN REEVES, LYNN FISHER 

MILDRED RAMSEY

Mildred Inez Keeler Ramsey, 68, of Wiliamston, wife of Paul Gregory Ramsey, died Wednesday, March 16, 2016 at her home.

Born in Pelzer, she was a daughter of the late James Harold and Mary Sally Alewine Keeler.  She was a homemaker and a member of Macedonia Baptist Church.

Surviving in addition to her husband are daughter, Sally Christina Rhodes of the home; adopted daughter, Tina Hall Propes of Greenville; sister, Jimmie Wallace of Williamston; brother, Pete Keeler of Belton; two grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren.

Visitation was held Friday, March 18, at Macedonia Baptist Church.

The service followed at the church.

KEITH COTHRAN

TAYLORS—Keith Anthony Cothran, 62, went home to be with his heavenly father, Wednesday, March 16, 2016.

Born in Anderson County, he was the son of Dorothy Kellett Cothran of Pelzer, and the late Robert Henry Cothran. He was formerly employed with Aurora Textiles in Travelers Rest as plant engineer for twenty years.

In addition to his mother, he is survived by daughters, Misty Cothran Johnson (Kelley) of Rockford, AL, Paula Cothran Blair and her husband, the late Andy Blair of Sylacauga, AL; son, Jared Anthony Cothran of Taylors; step-daughter, Erin Fuller Milburn (Brian) of Easley; brother, Wayne Cothran (Sandy) of Fountain Inn; sister, Denise Cothran Mehany (Hany) of Simpsonville; grandchildren, Taylor Johnson and Layton Bullard.

Visitation was held Tuesday, March 22, from 10:30 – 12:00 at Gray Mortuary. The funeral followed at noon in the mortuary chapel.

Burial was held at Greenville Memorial Gardens.

The family is at the home of his mother, Dorothy Cothran, 817 Cooley Bridge Road, Pelzer.

JIM COWART

C. Jim Cowart, Sr., of Piedmont, husband of the late Margaret Hudson Cowart, died Thursday, March 17, 2016.

Born in Greenville County, he was a son of the late Jake and Gaynell Vinson Cowart. He was currently an F.H.A. Compliance Inspector. He was also a U.S. Army and Navy veteran and a member of the Church of Christ, Williamston.

Survivors include daughter, Megan Sheck of Piedmont: three grandchildren.

A graveside service was held Saturday, March 26 at Greenville Memorial Gardens.

CHARLES LAWLESS

Charles Thomas Lawless, 80, of Piedmont, husband of Joyce Carolyn Lockaby Lawless, died Thursday, March 17, 2016 at McCall Hospice House.

Born in the White Plains Community, he was a son of the late Clinton Augustus and Cleo Cason Lawless.  He was a retired police officer from the City of Greenville and a member of Mountain Springs Baptist Church.  He was also a U.S. Air Force veteran.

In addition to his wife, he is survived by brothers, David and Bill Lawless, both of Piedmont; sister, Joyce Smith of Piedmont.

Funeral service was held Saturday, March 19 in the chapel of Gray Mortuary, Pelzer. Burial followed at Greenville Memorial Gardens.

ALICE STEWART SHERMAN

Alice Stewart Sherman, 90, of Pelzer, died Sunday, March 13, 2016 at the McCall Hospice House, Simpsonville.

Funeral service was held Saturday, March 19 at New Forksville Baptist Church.

Burial followed in Greenville Memorial Gardens.

MILDRED SPAKE

Mildred L. McGaha Spake, 95, of Westminster, died Saturday, March 19, 2016.

She was born in Easley, daughter of the late David Wesley McGaha and Lydia Boggs McGaha.

Longtime resident of Powdersville, she is survived by daughters, Betty Rumler Christian of Easley, Pat Powell, Shirley Coley, and Susan Nichols, all of Westminster; 12 grandchildren; ten great-grandchildren; and one great-great-grandchild.

She was a member of the Church of God.

Funeral service was held Tuesday, March 22 at the Chapel of Sandifer Funeral Home. Burial followed at Greenlawn Memorial Park, Easley.

DEBORAH JEAN REEVES

Deborah Jean Reeves, 58, of Anderson, wife of Greg Reeves, died Wednesday, March 16, 2016 at AnMed Health Medical Center.

Born in Lumberton, NC, she was the daughter of the late Roy Lee Myers and Charles and Betty Lou Bass.

She was a manager at Electrolux and a member of Eureka Baptist Church.

Surviving in addition to her husband of the home are: son, Jerry Wayne Pittman, Jr. of Walhalla; daughter, Melissa Pittman Stewart of Piedmont; nine grandchildren; three great-grandchildren; brother, Randy Myers of Easley; sisters, Carolyn Johnson of Anderson and Sandra Bass of Pickens.

Funeral services were held Saturday at Cox Funeral Home Chapel. Burial followed at Garden of Memories.

LYNN FISHER

Sherry Lynn Abbott Fisher, 59, of Piedmont, died Saturday, March 19, 2015.

Born in Piedmont, she was the daughter of the late Claude and Sara Tinsley Abbott.

Surviving is her brother, Larry Keith Abbott of Piedmont.

A visitation was held Tuesday, March 22 from 6:00 – 7:30 p.m. at Gray Mortuary.
