Updated Tuesday – The Greenville County Coroner’s office has identified the pilot who was killed when the small plane he was flying crashed Sunday as Bruce Ryskamp, 62. According to reports, witnesses reported that the plane’s engine stalled and the plane went down in a large field just off Hwy. 25, Belton. Residents of Oak Hill Road in Southern Greenville county called 911 at approximately 5:30 Sunday to report that a small plane had crashed in a farm field just off Highway 25. EMS, firefighters, and deputies responded to the scene. The crash is under investigation by the The Greenville County Sheriff’s office, Greenville County Coroner’s Office, the National Transportation Security Board and the Federal AViation Administration.
