Anderson County Public Works Department reported the following projects underway across Anderson County:
Building and Codes
· Demolition Permits have been issued for our Phase II Demolition Plan which includes 4 Substandard Structures: 120 Rich Drive in Pelzer, 312 Pinehaven in Belton, 409 Iler Street in Piedmont and 113 Rhodehaven Drive in Anderson. Miller Construction has been awarded the contract to demolish these structures.
· PERMITS SUBMITTED: 11 New Single-Family Dwelling and 4 Addition-Renovation; 3 Detached Garage/Accessory Buildings; 12 Pool; 2 Demolition; 18 Electrical and HVAC Upgrades; 6 Commercial Including: New Building for Event Rentals, Up-Fit to Upscale Golf, Electrical for Existing Equipment, HVAC Change-out for Stop-A-Minit, HVAC Change-out for Pilot #63, Electrical Meter Base Replacement for Existing Business; 13 Mobile Home including: New Homes, Change of Ownership, moves from other counties, change of location, etc.
· Land Use Board of Zoning Appeals approved the following variances at their meeting on Thursday, May 12, 2016. The vote was unanimous and there was no opposition.
§ Application for a variance for a reduction of front yard setbacks for the construction of a single-family home. The property is located on Washington Drive, Piedmont.
§ The Board has received four (4) variance requests for their June 2016 Meeting.
· Planning Commission approved the following subdivisions and one (1) Large Scale Project at their meeting held on Monday May 9, 2016
§ Pennington Subdivision located on McGee and Hub Road, Anderson.
§ Northpointe Subdivision located on Highway 81 & McGee Road, Anderson.
§ Large-Scale Project located on Highway 153 & Cely Lane, Powdersville
§ Planning Commission will hear a new residential subdivision consisting of 11 residential lots located on Concord Road/west of the intersection with Cross Creek. The Commission will hear this application at their June 2016 Meeting.
· SITE PLAN REVIEW:
§ Final Elevation Certificate for a new residential home site located at 213 Tugaloo Court, Piedmont.
§ Advanced Rigging located on 3&20 Road, Easley.
§ Bridgewater/Edgewater Subdivision.
§ The Preserve at Covered Bridge (a PD) Planned Development requested approval for access entry change. Application will be forwarded to the Planning Commission for review.
§ Cove Inlet Subdivision.
§ Hanna Crossings Subdivision.
