KEN WILSON

Kenneth Steven Wilson, 67, of Williamston, died Tuesday, May 10, 2016 at AnMed Health Medical Center.

Born in Anderson County, he was the son of the late Arthur N. Wilson and the late Vurna Hayes Wilson.

He was a Vietnam veteran of the U.S. Army and retired from Kemet Electronics. He was of the Baptist faith.

He is survived by his son. Col. James Steven Wilson, USAF of Fairfax Station, VA; five brothers, Robert, Donald, Mike, and Danny Wilson and Andrew Smart; and three grandchildren.

Funeral servicce with military honors was held May 13 sat The McDougald Funeral Home. A private commital was held at M.J. Dolly Cooper Veterans Cemetery.

CLINTA PRICE MOORE

Clinta Price Moore, 72, of Seneca, wife of Thomas Randall Moore, died May 11, 2016 at Cottingham Hospice House in Seneca.

Born in Gowensville, he was a child of Lila Campbell Price of Greer and the late Alfred Clinton Price.

She retired as a school teacher.

In addition to her mother and husband, she is survived by a son, Cary Moore of Simpsonville; three grandchildren; two sisters, Patsy Hunt of Greer and Delanie Blackwell of Irmo; three brothers, Sam Price of Powdersville, Joe Price of Greer, and Tim Price of Greer.

Funeral services were held Saturday at the Wood Mortuary in Greer. Interment followed in Wood Memorial Park.

LaDANE BAKER

Cecil LaDane Baker, 62, of Williamston, husband of Gail Dixon Baker, died Saturday, May 14, 2016.

Born in Anderson County, he was the son of the late Cecil Lenoid and Martha Ruth Hamby Baker. He served at the Williamston Fire Department for 35 years and the Williamston Police Department for eight years.

In addition to his wife of the home, he is survived by sons, Jonathan Baker and Patrick Baker, both of Williamston; sisters, Carolyn Freeman, Jean Frost and Grace Luper, all of Anderson; seven grandchildren; one great-grandchild.

The funeral service was held Wednesday, May 18, in the chapel of Gray Mortuary, Pelzer.

Burial followed at Forest Lawn Memorial Park.

BARBARA RECTOR CHANDLER

Barbara Rector Chandler, 77, of Fountain Inn, widow of Willie Leo Chandler, died Thursday, May 12, 2016.

Born in Niagara Falls, NY, she was daughter of the late Fletcher William and Mildred Martin Rector.

She retired from W.R. Grace and was a member of Ware Place Church of God.

Surviving are children, Russel Dale Davis, Sr. of the home, Debbie Byars of Piedmont, Sherry Worthy and Sandy Prather, both of Pelzer, Kim Derych of Easley; sister, Bonnie Couquin; brothers, Roger, Major, Edward and Raymond Rector; ten grandchildren; and 16 great-grandchildren.

Funeral service was held Sunday in the chapel of Gray Mortuary, Pelzer.

Entombment followed at Greenville Memorial Gardens.

TIM FREEMAN

Tim Freeman, 55, of Piedmont, died Friday at his home.

A memorial service was held Sunday at Washington Baptist Church.

GABRIEL SIMMONS

Gabriel Drew Simmons, four-day-old infant son of Scott Andrew and Jennifer Robyn Crisp Simmons, of Piedmont, died Thursday, May 12, 2016.

In addition to his parents he is survived by grandparents, Gene and Robin Kernells of Piedmont, Larry and Sharon Simmons of Greenville, and Don and Cathy Crisp of Easley.

A private family service will be held.

PEGGY WYROSDICK McCONNELL

Peggy Wyrosdick McConnell, 86, of Kingston, TN, widow of Homer E. McConnell, Jr. died Tuesday, May 10, 2016 at Harriman Care and Rehab Facility in Harriman, TN.

She was born in Piedmont to the late Bernard and Violet Jeannette Bryson Wyrosdick.

She retired from the Department of Energy, Oak Ridge, TN.

She was a member of First Baptist Church, Kingston.

Graveside service will be held at 3 p.m. Thursday, May 19 at Greenville Memorial Gardens, Piedmont.

The family will receive friends from 5 until 7 p.m. Thursday, May 26 at First Baptist Church in Kingston, followed by a Celebration of Life at 7 p.m.

JACKIE BARBRE, SR.

PIEDMONT – Jackie Clyde Barbre, Sr., 66, husband of the late Donna Marie Norris Barbre, passed away Tuesday, May 17, 2016.

Born in Greenville County, he was the son of the late James Clyde and Sarah Narcissus Brown Barbre. He was a U.S. Army Vietnam veteran and formerly employed with J.P. Stevens, Estes Plant.

He is survived by son, Jackie Clyde Barbre, Jr. of Piedmont; daughter, Jamie Barbre of Gray Court; sisters, Joyce Barbre of Greenville, Jan Bradberry of Piedmont, Judy Cooper of Waterloo, and Jo Childress of Piedmont; grandchildren, Siera and Mikayla Barbre, Hunter and Grayson Hawkins.

Visitation will be from 7:00 to 8:30 pm Thursday, May 19, at Gray Mortuary, Pelzer.

The funeral service will be held at 3:00 pm on Friday, May 20, in the mortuary chapel.

The family will be at respective homes.
