Anderson County Sheriff’s Deputies investigated the following:

PELZER

June 10 – C.P. Huff responded to 2322 Beaverdam Rd. where Donald Mullikin reported that someone had broken into his shed and stolen tools valued at $4200.

June 10 – J.T. Smith received a telephone complaint from Terri Galloway that her prescription of Tylenol Three had been stolen from her purse while she was at 1 McCaughrin St. The loss was estimated at $50.

PIEDMONT

June 11 – J.T. Smith received a telephone report from an employee of the Huddle House who reported that a white male and female, with a small child had eaten and left without paying. The bill was $34.

June 11 – P.D. Marter was dispatched to 249 S. Circle where Ronnie Cape reported that someone had damaged his motor home to the tune of $2000.

June 11 – C.P. Huff responded to 920 Old River Rd. where Benny Ballew stated that he and Bradley Watt had gone to 902 Anderson St. to buy some items. He stated that a guy, (name and description withheld by the ACSO) had pulled up behind him and after an argument, had punched him through the car window. He got out and a fight ensued. Ballew said he was hit in the head several times with a very hard object. The unnamed assailant dropped a pistol from his waistband during the fight and Watt retrieved it and put it in Ballew’s car. The assailant fled and Watt drove Ballew to the Old River Road location. He was bloodied and appeared to be having convulsions and slurred speech. He was transported to GMH and later released.

June 11 – P.D. Marter responded to 407 Hwy. 183 where Raymond Seymore reported that someone had forced entry to his home and damaged his door to the tune of $100.

June 12 – J.T. Hunt received a telephone complaint from Angie Alverson, of 305 Irby Rd. that someone had stolen household goods and yard equipment from a shed at her home. The loss was estimated at $918.

June 13 – A.F. Acevedos responded to Kudzu Staffing at 108 Clair Dr. where Lindsay Ritter reported that someone had entered the office overnight and gone through several drawers in the desks. Nothing appeared to be taken, and no alarm was transmitted.

WILLIAMSTON

June 10 – C.E. Doherty contacted Amanda Whitfield of 106 Oldfield Circle who stated that her ex-boyfriend James Ford, WM, 45, 5’11″, 195 pounds had sent her a text threatening to hurt her and her family. Doherty was unable to contact Ford but a warrant was issued for his arrest by Judge Cole.

June 13 – T.R. Chapman was dispatched to 104 Sheila Dr. where Melica Graber reported that her 2006 copper orange Mitsubishi Eclipse had been stolen. The loss was estimated at $8000, but Chapman received notification that the vehicle was recovered in Madison County, N.C. Its condition was unknown.
