LEE ‘EARL’ TAYLOR

Edwin Lee “Earl” Taylor, 67, of Piedmont, died Sunday, June 5, 2016.

Born in Greenville, he was a son of Rosa Lee Gambrell Taylor and the late A.C. Taylor. He was a U.S. Navy veteran and was employed with Greenville Mechanical for 32 years.

In addition to his mother of Piedmont, he is survived by daughter, Carrie Wisinger of California; brother, Larry Taylor of Piedmont; and one grandchild.

Funeral service was held Monday, June 13, in the Chapel of Gray Mortuary, Pelzer.

JAMES ROBINSON

James ‘J-Bird’ Robinson, of Greenville, died May 27, 2016 at his home.

He was a son of the late Haskell and Lula Mattison Robinson.

Surviving are sisters, Jessie Mae Robinson of Fountain Inn and Dora Jones of Chester, PA; brothers, David Robinson of Piedmont, and Joseph Robinson of Mauldin.

Funeral service was held Saturday, June 11 at St. Anthony of Padua Catholic Church. Burial followed on Monday, June 13 at M.J. “Dolly” Cooper Veterans Cemetery.

SARAH ‘SA’ EVATT

Sarah “Sa” Evatt, 75, of Greenville, died Saturday, June 11, 2016.

Born in Anderson, she was a daughter of the late Samuel W. and Gertrude Crowe Evatt.

She was a member of College Park Worship Center.

She is survived by three brothers, Thomas J. of Taylors, Billy S. of Warner Robins, GA, and Henry Evatt of Powdersville; and one sister, Grace Cowart of Greenville.

Funeral service was held Tuesday, June 14 in the Northwest Chapel of Thomas McAfee Funeral Home. Burial followed in Graceland Cemetery, West.

Memorials may be made to the Angel Tree Fund of College Park Worship Center, 8211 White Horse Rd., Greenville, SC 29617.

BETTY RUTH ORR FULBRIGHT

Betty Ruth Orr Fulbright, 84, of Greenville, widow of Eugene Talmadge Fulbright, died Friday, June 10, 2016 at McCall Hospice House.

Born in Powdersville, she was a daughter of the late William Talmadge and Ruby Elizabeth Trotter Orr.

She was a homemaker and a member of Tanglewood Baptist Church.

Surviving are three children, Larry Fulbright, Deborah Long, and Beth Wilson; five grandchildren; and three brothers, Richard, Ray, and Roy Orr.

Funeral service was held Monday, June 13 at Thomas McAfee Funeral Home, Northwest Chapel. Burial followed in Graceland Cemetery, West.

Memorials may be made to McCall Hospice House, 1836 West Georgia Road, Simpsonville, SC 29680.

SARAH GARNER

Sarah Frances Pilgrim Garner, 87, of Williamston, wife of the late Cecil Ray Garner, died Wednesday, June 8, 2016.

Born in Flat Rock, SC, she was a daughter of the late William and Etta Massey Pilgrim. She was a member of Calvary Baptist Church.

She is survived by children, Charlotte Dunlap, Tony Garner, and Rosemary Graham; sisters, Mary Etta Alford and Shelby Jean Timms; five grandchildren; nine great-grandchildren; and one great-great-grandchild.

Funeral service was held Saturday, June 11 at Calvary Baptist Church. Burial followed in Forest Lawn Memorial Park, Anderson.

JIMMIE ANNE PATTON

BELTON – Jimmie Anne Patton, 75, widow of William Patton of 433 Lewis Dr. died Sunday, June 12, 2016 at her residence.

Born in Anderson, she was the daughter of the late James and Neil Parker Laird. She attended Williamston Church of God.

Surviving are son, Terry Patton of Belton; daughters, Tessy Henderson, Tammie (Carl) Wells, and Tina Patton all of Belton, Pam (Gene) Fields and Beverly Patton both of Williamston; 7 grandchildren and 5 great grandchildren.

Service will be held 2pm Thursday at Cox Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Gary Stone officiating. Burial will follow at Garden of Memories.

The family will receive friends from 6pm until 8pm Wednesday at Cox Funeral Home. The family will be at the residence.

DWIGHT KELLY

Dwight Ernest Kelly, 77, of Six Mile, died Monday, June 13, 2016 at Baptist Easley Hospital.

He was widower of Nancy Bryant Kelly and son of the late William E. and Gladys Dorsey Kelly.

He was a US. Army veteran and retired from Pickens Machine Works.

He was a member of Fairview Baptist Church.

Surviving are two sons, Randy Kelly of Six Mile and Ron Kelly of Easley; four sisters, Betty Holliday of Seneca, Mildred Holliday of Six Mile, Belinda Finley of Williamston, and Joan Smith of Pickens; brother, Wallace Kelly of Pendleton; five grandchildren; and five great-grandchildren.

Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. Thursday in the Liberty Mortuary Chapel. Visitation will be held one hour prior to the service at Liberty Mortuary. Burial will follow at Liberty Memorial Gardens.

CLYDE A. BISHOP, JR.

WILLIAMSTON – Clyde Alton Bishop, Jr., 69, passed away Tuesday, June 7, 2016 at his home.

Born in New York he was a son of the late Clyde Alton Bishop, Sr. and Doris Grote Nicklaus.  He was a retired U.S. Army veteran.

Survivors include companion and caregiver, Barbara Stone Levy; daughter, Margaret Stone Kay of Williamston; sons, Jesse and Alton Bishop, both of Belton; step-daughter, Shawn Boone of Texas; brother, Donald Bishop of Florida; sister, Patricia Borner of Bluffton, SC. grandchildren, Jordan and Colin Kay, both of Williamston.

He was predeceased by a son.

A memorial service will be held on June 18 at 3 p.m. at Narrow Way Fellowship, 310A Williams St., Williamston.
