The Williamston Police Department hosted their annual book bag and school supply give-away event for children in the community Saturday in Mineral Spring Park. Duke Energy volunteers helped stuff the nearly 500 book bags on Friday at the Williamston Municipal Center gym in preparation for the back-to-school event. Lunch was served afterward. Pictured are Emily DeRoberts, District Manager for the SC Government and Community Relations Team and Duke Energy Foundation Representative, Ryan Mosier of Duke Energy Corporate Communications and Steve Bryant. The event was sponsored by the Williamston Police Department, Duke Energy, Community First Bank, First Citizens Bank, Ace Hardware, and Mount Pleasant Baptist Church.
