The Fourth Annual Homesteading Festival will be held in Williamston’s Mineral Spring Park this Saturday, September 10th, from 8 am to 4 pm. Hosted by SC Organization for Organic Living and the Town of Williamston, the festival is sponsored by the Palmetto Farmers Market, Carolina Farm Stewardship Association, EarthWise Learning Center, and EarthSkills Wilderness Self-Reliance School. The festival is again partnering with the Steve White Creekside Camp Out and Show.

This year, the Coastal Crust brick oven pizza mobile unit will join returning food vendors Hey Bo/Sassy Sow BBQ, Friends Farm and Catering, Grandma’s Ice Cream, and Pitmasters BBQ. The BattleAxe Band and Bob & Amy Buckingham will be providing bluegrass music for the festival.

Anyone who plays an instrument is welcomed to join Jack Ellenburg and friends, who will be jamming throughout the park.

The Palmetto Farmers Market vendors will also be in attendance.

Other vendors will have a wide variety of information and items including items made from repurposed and recycled goods; solar power; survival and homesteading skills and tools; upcycled and vintage clothing; weaving; spinning; chair seat weaving; sewn, knitted, and crocheted products; green cleaning products; snacks (pound cake, granola, muffins, and treats from Chocolate Artworks); pet treats and collars; jewelry; artwork; books; plants; and many others.
