Firefighters prepare to extinguish a house fire Saturday night on Ellison Lake Road at Sweet Gum Circle. When firefighters arrived minutes after receiving the call flames were coming through the roof and other parts of the home. The elderly couple living there were able to get out on their own and were not injured. Whitefield, West Pelzer, and Piercetown firefighters responded to the call.
