Williamston Police Officers investigated the following incidents recently:

Sept. 27 – Elijah Jacob Stathers, 23, 170 Brown Dr., Easley was arrested for public disorderly conduct after officers were dispatched to the area of Gossett Street in reference to a domestic call. According to reports Stathers and his girlfriend had got into an argument and the girlfriend got out of the vehicle and walked to the Masonic lodge. She told officers she and Stathers were homeless and had been sleeping in the cemetery where her boyfriend was in a silver 2005 Toyota Salara. Officers found Stathers sitting in the vehicle at the Williamston cemetery. He was belligerent and disorderly when officers made contact with him. At that time he was arrested and transported to the ACSO without incident. E. Bonnett, M Crowe investigated.

Sept. 27 – A 66-year-old Williamston man reported two black males approached his wife in Mineral Spring Park and started using vulgar language toward her. The complainant stated he wanted to document the incident in case it happens again or to anyone else. M. Beeman investigated.

Sept. 28 -After being notified that the Anderson County Sheriff’s Office was in pursuit of a tan Honda heading towards Williamston on Hwy. 20, Williamston officers in two separate vehicles observed the vehicle pass them near Trinity Church on Belton Drive at a speed of 100 mph or more. By the time the officers turned around and got to East Main St. they had lost sight of the vehicle. On Greenville Drive they observed the Honda had collided into the car wash on Greenville Drive. Officers drew weapons and assisted Anderson County Sheriff’s Deputy Davis in apprehending the driver. According to reports the driver was Austin Leneer Mosley, 23, 310 E. Carolina St., Williamston. Moseley kicked the rear glass out of the vehicle and tried to escape but was restrained and offered medical attention, which he denied.

A female passanger and a D. Stone were trapped in the vehicle until the Williamston Fire Department could get them out. The girlfriend was transported to the hospital. Stone was rendered medical attention on the scene. SC Hwy. Patrol and Anderson County Sheriff’s Office investigated the incident which was reported last week in The Journal. Officers E. Bonnett, M. Crowe assisted in the incident.

Sept. 28 – Jason Tyler Sweet, 27, 315 Mauldin St,. Williamston was arrested for an outstanding warrant after officers were dispatched to Mauldin St,. in reference to an alarm. According to reports a resident of Mauldin St. reported suspicious people walking through her yard. The three subjects were located up the street and it was determined Sweet was wanted through Probation and Parole. While being transported to ACDC, the suspect had a medical emergency and was taken to AnMed by EMS. After being released from the ER, he was transported to ACDC without further incident. T. L. Sept. 28 – Robert Dustin Norris, 24, 602 Hamilton St,. Williamston reported a burglary. Four of the seven items stolen were recovered from a music store in Anderson. T. L. Eichelberger investigated.

Sept. 28 – Williamston EMS (MedShore Ambulance), 902 Anderson Drive, Williamston reported a lock cut off of an office door. The lock was valued at $10. Sgt. L. E. Mulz investigated.

Sept. 29 – Jennifer Dawn Gosnell, 40, 19 Parker St,. Williamston reported a burglary in which items were taken out of a storage building. Missing items included a chainsaw valued at $150, Honda lawn mower valued at $1,000, Skil saw valued at $100. Total value of the items was $1168. Z. T. Parks investigated.

Sept. 30 – Betty Louise Pou, 32, 1 Lakeside Rd., #252, Greenville was arrested for driving under the influence and driving under suspension (2nd) after officers responded to a vehicle accident on Gossett Drive and Williams Street. After field sobriety tests and breath sample test at .17% Pou was arrested and transported to ACDC without incident. She also had an active warrrant in Greenville County through probation and parole. Sept. 30 – Leah Ann Monroe, 26, 205 Hamilton Ln., Liberty was arrested for two outstanding bench warrants in Williamston after it was discovered she was at the Anderson County Detention Center for charges by another agency. Sgt. M. E. Eddleman investigated.

Sept. 30 – Dollar General, 526 West Main St., Williamston reported $747.25 in merchandise missing from the store. M. Roberts investigated.

Oct. 1 – Calvin Frasier, 71, 42 Dove St., Williamston reported an unknown person backed into a brick wall bordering his driveway causing $500 in damage. B. Peterson was reporting officer.

Oct. 3 – Jacob Blair Black, 26, 2 Coker Circle, Williamston was arrested for an outstanding warrant in Pickens Countyafter running from a traffic stop in West Pelzer. According to reports, Black was in a truck stopped on Hwy. 8 in West Pelzer. Officer Z. T. Parks was assisting with the traffic stop and told Black to stop when he ran andjumped over a barbed wire fence. Anderson County K9s assisted in locating the suspect who was transported to West Pelzer Town Hall per West Pelzer Police Chief Mike Clardy. The truck and Black were also involved in an incident reported at Main Street Motors, 612 Greenville Dr., in Williamston.

According to reports, officer M. Orr responded to Main Street Motors in reference to a disturbance and trespassing. The business owner and Black had been in an argument about ownership of a motorcycle at the business. While at the location, they were notified that the subjects were detained at a traffic stop in West Pelzer. Black was on trespass notice at the business. M. Roberts investigated.

Oct. 3 – Berdie R. Moraney, 76, 37 Middleton Blvd., Williamston reported a container with four baked chicken breasts missing from her refrigerator. There were no signs of forced entry. The chicken was valued at $2. M. Roberts investigated.

Oct. 4 – A 76-year-old Piedmont woman reported she had a business deal with a David Brown to buy and resell houses. According to reports, Brown had moved into a house at 303 Byron Drive without her permission, but had not been in the residence in several weeks. Officers advised the complainant to speak with a magistrate about eviction process. The incident was reported for information only. M. Beeman was reporting officer.

Oct. 6 – Travis Mashon Simmons, 27, 28 Coker Circle Williamston was arrested after officers were dispatched to 4 West Main St. in reference to an individual paying .29 cents for a water and then obtaining a fountain drink valued at $4. After being confronted by the manager, he ran out of the store toward Pelzer Ave. He was located, arrested and transported to ACDC without incident. Sgt. L. E. Mulz investigated.

Oct. 7 – Mickey Lewis Alewine, 42, 9 James St., Pelzer was arrested for two outstanding warrants in Williamston after officers responded to 103 L. St., in reference to a domestic situation. K. Anthony investigated.
