Boo in the Park will be held on Saturday, Oct. 29 in Williamston’s Mineral Spring Park. The event is sponsored the the Town of Williamston, local businesses and the Palmetto Business Association, local churches and organizations. Due to the amount of children that attend the event yearly, Main Street between Minor Street and Pelzer Avenue will be closed from 5-9 pm.

There will be entertainment on the stage, games, and a “Spooked Hut”. Pelzer Church of God will provide free hot dogs and drinks for the children, plus sponsor a Puppet Show on the Gospel stage. The Cowboy Church will have their popular fishing tank. Stage Entertainment will include Jack’s Drum Shack at 5:30 and a Halloween Costume Contest at 6:30.

Organizer Dianne Lollis said they are expecting a large crowd. to participate again this year. Tables will be provided by the town for those handing out candy and will be set up in an area under control by the Williamston Police Deptartment. Lollis said the change was made to help control the crowd due to the increased attendance the event has seen.

Other businesses, organizations, and churches will also be participating in the night’s event, according to Lollis.
