Winners of the 2016 Scarecrow Decorating Contest sponsored by Envsion Williamston were announced during the Williamston Town Council meeting Monday.“We are so glad to have had such an amazing number of entries and votes,” said Envision Williamston Executive Director Sonya Crandall.

Crandall said thirty scarecrows were entered in the contest and decorated the town from October 17th through November 18th. Nearly 600 votes were cast for the People’s Choice Award, according to Crandall. A Judges’ Panel of experts judged the displays according to entry categories. “Now that the tallies have been made, we are pleased to announce the results of this community driven celebration of the Harvest Season!”
