Williamston Police Report Number 2
Williamston Police Officers investigated the following incidents:
Jan. 31 – Kristi Lee Evatt Moore, 37, 13 Calhoun St, Williamston was placed on trespass notice for Dollar General, 526 West Main St., Williams after officers were dispatched to the store. Evatt-Moore was listed as missing through the Anderson City Police Dept. and after notifying ACPD she was no longer missing she was removed from NCIC. Sgt. L. E. Mulz investigated.

Feb. 1 – Charles Richard Bamble, 32, 300 Campbell St., #15, Belton reported $260 in cash taken from his unlocked vehicle at Dollar General, 526 West Main St., in Williamston while he was inside the store. M. Beeman investigated.
Feb. 1 – Kelsey Ann Putnam, 17 102 Tripp St., Williamston was arrested for assault and battery after officers responded to the address in reference to an assault. According to reports she repeatedly hit Kathy Langrehr Turner, 57 of the same address, with a back scratcher and threatened her with a ball bat. The incident began over Putnam being disiplined and removing a cell phone from Putnam. Putnam was issued a UTT for assault and battery and transported to ACDC. K. Anthony investigated.
Feb. 1 – Medshore Ambulance Service, 1011 Ellis St. Anderson reported a lost Panasonic CF-19 Toughbook laptop valued at $1000. The Toughbook laptop fell off the ambulance between 902 Anderson Dr. and Whilden Dr. Sgt. L. E. Mulz investigated.
Jan. 3 – Walter Cleveland Murphy Jr., 44, 606 Plain St., Anderson reported seeing a motorcycle that he had reported stolen to the Anderson County Sheriff’s Office at Hardees, 1520 Anderson Dr. in Williamston. According to reports he confronted the unknown white male driving the motorcycle and got into a physical altercation with him. The man left on the red and white motorcycle heading east on Beaverdam Rd. E. Bonnett, M. Roberts investigated.
Feb. 5 – Officers responded to Mauldin St. in reference to an aggressive dog running at large complaint. According to reports the dog had attempted to attack a neighbor and two small children and was acting aggressive toward officers when they attempted to locate the owner at 215 Mauldin St. Reports state the dog attempted to attack both officers on the scene. After contacting a supervisor and advising her of the situation of the threat to the public and unavailability of animal control and other efforts to contain the dog, officers used a service weapon to shoot the dog twice. However it ran into a thicket of bamboo and old tires located behind the residence at 215 Mauldin St., Officers searched for the animal but were unable to locate it due to the overgrown vegetation. Search for the dog continued until officers were informed the owner had located it and taken it to a vet. B. K,. Creel investigated.
Feb. 6 – Tina Marie Owens, 29, 27 Pruitt St., Honea Path reported her child’s school issued computer missing The item was valued at $200. M. Beeman investigated.
