Williamston police officers investigated the following incidents:
Aug. 31 – Officers investigated an incident of forgery at Dollar General, 526 West Main St. in Williamston. The case was being turned over the secret service. No additional details were provided. T. L. Eichelberger investigated.
Sept. 2 – T. Gentry of Town of Williamston reported vandalism at Brookdale Park in which the sink was pulled from a restroom wall causing flooding of the restroom. Damage was estimated at $200. L. Buell investigated.

Sept. 3 – Officers investigated an incident of aggravated assault in which James Dewitt Duncan and Linda Duncan reported being threatened by a person identified as Joshua G. Bullard. According to reports Bullard had a utility knife and threatened to cut both. Officers intend to speak with a judge about a warrant. L. Buell investigated.
Sept. 3 – Ronnie Lee Church, 45, 144B Kathryn St,. Marietta SC was arrested for attempting to obtain drugs by fraud
after officers were dispatched to Rite Aid, 205 W. Main St., in reference to a forged prescription for Oxycodine.
According to reports an unknown female dropped off a forged prescription and three males later attempted to pick up the prescription. When officers stopped the vehicle, Church was driving. A passenger in the vehicle, identified as Ansel Lister, age 36, was arrested for providing false information to officers and having an outstanding warrant in Greenville County.  A second passenger, identified as Brookshire, was arrested for loitering for drugs. A straw found in the vehicle’s console contained a white powder field tested positive as methamphetamine. L. Buell investigated.
Sept. 5 – Aaron Reese Huckaby, 17, 20 Circle Dr., Williamston was arrested for simple possession of marijuana, drug equipment violations and open container/possession alcohol by a minor. According to reports, officers responded to Circle Drive in reference to a call about a red Mustang drag racing around the area of Anderson Drive and Beaverdam Rd.
According to reports, the red Mustang was observed traveling 62 mph in a 35 mph zone on Anderson Drive with another police officer in pursuit.
A small baggie containing residue and a strong odor of marijuana was found on the passenger seat. An open cigar with a green leafy substance field tested positive as marijuana was found on the floor of the back of the vehicle. The marijuana was .8 grams.
An open bottle of Captain Morgan Cannon Blast Rum was also found in the floor board behind the driver seat. Jeremy Eric Ford Ferguson, (driver) was charged with possession of drug paraphernalia, minor in possession of alcohol, reckless driving, simple possession of marijuana and possession of drug paraphernalia.
Aaron Reece Huckaby was charged with open container, minor in possession of alcohol and possession of drug paraphernalia.
Both were transported to ACDC without incident. B. K. Creel, K. Anthony investigated.
