Williamston Police Officers investigated the following incidents:
Oct. 16 – Ace Hardware, 29 Pelzer Avenue Williamston reported a shoplifting incident in which tools valued at $65 were taken. No additional details available. T. L. Eichelberger investigated.
Oct. 18 – Melissa Dawn Kay, 42, 108 L St #B reported a black mountain bike valued at $100 taken. R. Maxwell investigated.
Oct. 16 – Johnnie Bell, 74, 201 Mahaffey St., Williamston reported financial transaction card fraud incident in which a SunTrust debit card was used at McDonalds in Williamston to make a $20 purchase. The card was taken from wallet lost at Dollar General in West Pelzer. G. Culbertson investigated.
Oct. 21 – Joshua Michael Crump, 29, 138 Carr Ct., Belton was arrested for loitering for drugs and disturbing the peace after officers were dispatched to 804 Greenville Drive in reference to a suspicious person. According to reports, Crump was seen driving up and down Brown Street several times and when asked what he was doing, stated he was looking for pills to get high. A vehicle was found abandoned on Bigby St. at East Carolina and observed the man on the hill on E. Carolina. He was arrested and transported to ACDC without incident. Sgt. L. E. Mulz investigated.
Oct. 20 – Annie Ruth Chastain, 74, 4 W 2nd St., Williamston reported the front bumper of her 2006 Ford Taurus. Damage was estimated at $500. R. Drennon investigated.
