Civil War skirmish re-enactment this weekend – April 6-8

The Brown’s Raid on Anderson Civil War re-enactment will take place this weekend, Apr. 6-8 near Honea Path.
The living history encampment commemorate the last skirmish of the War Between the States east of the Mississippi.
The skirmish took place near Shiloh Church in Piedmont, which was a part of the Williamston Township at the time.
The fun and educational event will include a military encampment, infantry camp and drill, artillery demonstrations, cavalry exercises, civilian and military dress, lectures, sutler and vendors 1860s and modern.
Educational day will be Friday, April 6 from 9 am to 4 pm and Saturday and Sunday 9 am to 5 pm.
There will be a special night skirmish and candle light tour on Saturday beginning at 7:30 p.m.
