Williamston police investigate theft of Harley Davidson motorcycle

Williamston Police Officers investigated a variety of incidents including break-ins, thefts and recovered tools. Among incidents investigated were the following:
April 7 – Kevin Timothy Callahan,42,2-98 Crawford Rd., Belton reported several items missing from his 2014 Ford F-150 truck while at Dollar General, 526 West Main. Missing items included prescription medication, a 5 gallon fuel cannister and $20 in change. B. K. Creel investigated.
Apr. 7 – Officers investigated a traffic accident in which a gold Honda Accord with a dealership tag struck a phone pole on West Main St. According to reports the vehicle was still running but the driver had left the scene. Williamston Fire Department also responded. C. C. Brown investigated.
Apr. 7 – Roy Anthony Shaw, 40, 210 Old Jack Rd., Barnwell reported someone entered the back door of his hose at 11 Circle Dr. in Williamston and ransacked the house and tool items including medication, a .380 handgun, a blue jean fabric purse, a 17 inch flat screen, tobacco and cigarettes and food missing from the fridge. The incident remains under investigation. K. Anthony, C. C. Brown investigated.
Apr. 8 – Sav-Way, 309 E. Main St., Williamston reported a gas drive off in which a heavy set white male in a burgundy jeep with silver trim drove off without paying for gas valued at $18.01. C. C. Brown, K. Anthony investigated.
Apr 9 – Stephen Matthew Petric, Jr., 32, 309 S. Green St, Williamston reported a 2002 Harley Davidson motorcycle taken from his driveway. The motorcycle was described as black with red and grey pin stripping and hard saddle bags. It was valued at $8,000. L. B. Culbertson investigated.
Apr. 9 – Kayla Grady, 29, 110 Lakeview Dr., Williamston reported a pink wallet with a gold zipper taken from her 2015 Honda Civic. The vehicle was parked in the driveway and forced entry by breaking the drivers window. The wallet contained drivers license, social security card, bank card and ten dollars cash. Damage to the vehicle was estimated at $250. L. B. Culbertson investigated.
Apr. 9 – Officers recovered a variety of tools from behind a residence at 17 Virginia Drive after the residents reported the items were found in the rear of the house and did not belong to them. Items included a Chicago Electric Miter Saw, Chicago Electric Oscillating multi tool, Ryobi Electric Drill, various wrenches, sockets, voltage meters and two Husky tool bags. The items were taken into custody by Detective Culbertson. R. Maxwell investigated.
Aprl 10 – Eric Ian Kent, 21, 4 Sturbridge Court, Belton was arrested for driving under suspension after officers observed a Dodge Charger traveling at a high rate of speed on Ida Tucker. The vehicle was stopped at Bruce St where the driver stated he did not have a valid license. He was placed under arrested and transported to ACDC without incident. R. Maxwell investigated.
