Williamston Police Officers investigated the following:
May 14 – A warrant was issued for Annie Ruth Chastain, 75, 4 W 2nd St. Williamston for unlawful use of 911 number. According to reports, Chastain called 911 emergency line multiple times to report a loud noise complaint and on one of the calls used profane language to the 911 operators that answered the call. Central Dispatch reported Chastain had called the 911 line at least five times. C. C. Brown, K. Anthony investigated.
May 9 – James Evan Dalrymple, 17, 120 Hemlock Drive, Williamston was arrested for simple possession of marijuana after officers responded to 23 Black St., #F2 in reference to a domestic dispute. According to reports, when officers entered the residence they found two marijuana buds (field tested positive) and a scale on a coffee table. The suspect did become hostile to law enforcement officers and was placed in leg cuffs. He was transported to ACDC without incident. B. K. Creel investigated.
May 10 – Daniel Bruce Fowler, 64, 1 E Third St., Williamston was arrested for simple assault after officers responded to the address regarding an assault. According to reports, Fowler and his 64 year old sister had gotten into a verbal altercation and Fowler became hostile and pushed her with his hands causing her to fall. Fowler was transported to ACDC without incident. B. K. Creel investigated.
May 11 – Caroline M. Vickery, 5407 Slater Rd., Anderson was arrested for possession of a stolen vehicle after officers responded to 29 Pelzer Avenue in reference to a vehicle accident. While in route, officers were advised that the driver had left the area toward Simpson Street. and dispatch listed the vehicle as stolen out of Anderson County. The blue Nissan was located at a house on Austin Street at Green St.. The driver was located at 16 Austin and had multiple outstanding warrants through probation. Vickery stated she had injuries to her arm and asked for medical attention. EMS was notified and she was transported to Anderson Area Medical Center to receive treatment for injuries. Officer Thompson followed the ambulance to the hospital where she was turned over to Probation and Parole. R. Drennon investigated.
