Williamston Police Department investigated the following incidents:
May 16 – Ronald Thomas Cape, 32, 10 Circle Dr., Williamston was arrested for petit larceny after officers investigated an incident in which Beverly Jean Gleaton, 62, of the same address reported prescription medication taken from her bedroom. According to reports, officers found an empty bottle of pills with the victims name on it in Capes left front pants pocket. Cape was placed under arrest and transported to jail. The medications were valued at $300. L. B. Culbertson investigated.
May 17 – Christopher Todd Decker, 42, 120 Parker St., Williamston was issued a summons for a town violation for trash in the yard. Detective G. Culbertson investigated.
May 17 – Jennifer Dawn Gosnell, 42, 19 Parker St., Williamston was issued a summons for having a vehicle parked on the property without current registration. According to the report, vehicles without current registration are required to be covered by a car cover. Detective G. Culbertson investigated.
May 17 – Karen B. Sammons, 66, 110 Davis St,. Williamston was issued a summons for violation of a town ordinance for having trash/scrap metal in the yard. She also had a vehicle without current registration parked beside the residence.
May 18 – Officers responded to Hardees, 1520 Anderson Drive in reference to an assault. After investigating the incident and talking with a witness, it was determined that Jacob Michael Smith of Belton and a Mr. Perry, no address reported, had engaged in mutual fighting in which both parties threw punches. According to the report, no warrants were sought due to both victims fighting on mutual terms. K. Anthony investigated.
May 19 – Charlotte Charlene Bigsby, 50, 826 Joe Black Lot #7, Williamston was arrested for driving under the influence and driving under suspension after officers were dispatched to Hardees, 1520 Anderson Dr. in reference to a motor vehicle accident. Bigsby was transported to ACDC without incident. T. L. Eichelberger investigated.
May 21 – Brandon Jordan Manley, 23, 110 Howard Ln., Anderson was arrested for petit larceny after officers responded to East Main Street in reference to a suspicious person walking around the Sav-Way with a flashlight and a bag. According to reports, Manley admitted taking some industrial wire from a construction site at 1 Greenville Drive. The copper wire, approximately 12 feet and encased in a black covering, was valued at $50. Manley was transported to ACDC without incident. K. Anthony investigated.
