The Palmetto Farmers Market will hold their first event of the season in Williamston’s Mineral Spring Park this Thursday, June 7th from 4-7pm. The season will kick-off with FarmFest and include opening of the weekly farmers market.
The market features local produce, honey and homemade or crafted products from local vendors. For FarmFest there will be food samplings, demonstrations, live music, food trucks and more!
A number of vendors will be returning.
The vendor list for the opening event includes: EarlyBird Farm, Bella Vita Farm, Possum Kingdom Kreamery, Four Leaf Farm, Carolina Grassfed Beef, Pound Cakes by Dorcas, The Lazy Farmer, Rock Farms, H&G Produce, Cheerful Blossoms and Chocolate Artworks.
“After a cool, soggy spring and a few freeze warnings in effect delayed our opening, the season has finally warmed and the Palmetto Area Farmers market returns this Thursday,” said Coordinator Marnie Schwartz-Hanley.
The farmers market will be held each Thursday from 4 to 7 p.m. through the spring and summer months.
Vendor space is still available and applications are on the website at www.palmettofarmersmarket.com. Volunteer opportunities also available.
