Deputy reassigned after hitting pedestrian

An Anderson County Deputy has received disciplinary action including suspension, reassignment, and additional vehicle operations training following an accident on May 30 in which a pedestrian was injured.
According to the Sheriff’s Office, Anderson County Sheriff’s Deputy Adrienne McMahan was involved in a motor vehicle accident on SC 88 in Anderson County. At the time of the incident, Deputy McMahan was assigned to the ACSO Road Patrol Division and was responding to a non-emergency call for service within her assigned zone.
As a result of the accident, Deputy McMahan’s fully marked and assigned patrol vehicle did make contact with a pedestrian who was off the roadway, causing minor injuries.
