The Anderson County Animal Shelter reported the following:
· We were able to save 91% of the animals in our care this week.
· INTAKES:  162 (28 owner surrender, 2 return adoptions, 65 from animal control, 63 strays and 4 transferred in).
· OUTCOMES: 77 animals adopted, 6 died, 9 were euthanized for illness or aggression, 4 animals were owner requested euthanasia, 49 were returned to their owners and 10 were sent to rescue.
· Clinic performed 126 spay/neuter surgeries.
· There are currently 155 large dogs, 19 small dogs, 31 puppies, 37 cats and 64 kittens in the facility.
· There are 13 animals being held for court.
· There are 167 animals available for adoption. 97 of those have already been altered (58%).
· PAWS received $209.00 cash donations, $757.00 in donations for Dog Park and $790 from PAWS Pals Kids Camp.
· PAWS hosted our first ever PAWS PALS Kids Camp.  Children attended all week to learn proper animal care and to see everything that happens at the shelter.  We had an amazing time teaching them and they finished the week with a stuffed animal adoption event.
