Williamston Police Officers investigated the following incidents:
July 12 – Officers located an abandoned vehicle at the dead end of Heritage Ct., just off Green Drive. According to reports, the white Honda Accord displaying SC tag 2851KQ was in the middle of the road with the doors locked and a note stating “Don’t Tow” covering the VIN. Trash and torn purple shirt were found on the ground next to the passenger rear door. The tag did not match the vehicle it was on. The vehicle, valued at $1000, was towed. L. B. Culbertson investigated.
July 12 – The Splash and Dash Car Wash at 707 W. Main St., reported a white male in a newer model Jeep, SC tag PGG610 requested a car wash and after the crew washed the jeep, drove off without paying. According to reports, it is the second time this has occurred. The subject owes $70 for two car washes. L. B. Culbertson investigated.
July 13 – Jasmine Desiree Evans, 22, 124 Wishire Dr., Anderson was arrested for simple possession of marijuana and manner of driving after a grey Toyota Camry was observed on Anderson Drive going 45 mph in a 35 mph zone. According to reports, four marijuana roaches and a plastic baggy with a green leafy substance field tested positive as marijuana inside were found in the vehicle. A second plastic baggy with a green leafy plant like material was retrieved from her bra by Sgt. Mulz. Total weight of the marijuana was 2.82 grams. K. Anthony investigated.
July 15 – Kevin Malik Speaks, 21, 209 Havendale Dr., Fountain Inn was arrested for no drivers license after a grey vehicle with a rental tag was observed on Anderson Drive using improper headlights. S. T. Parks investigated.
July 15 – Jonathan Ladane Baker, 47, 106 S. Hamilton St,. reported a Yeti cooler with beer, valued at $400 and black Craftsman toolbox and tools valued at $230 were stolen from his carport. T. L. Eichelberger investigated.
