Books open for filing for non-partisan offices

The Board of Voter Registration and Elections Office for Anderson County located at 301 N. Main Street is now accepting filings for nonpartisan offices to be elected in the November 6, 2018 General Election. Among them are seats on the Anderson County Board of Education, Anderson School District One Board of Trustees,  Piedmont Public Service District Commission, Watershed Conservation Districts Commissioners and Homeland Park Water District Commission.

There are no filing fees for these offices.
Each candidate at the time of filing must fill out the Statement of Intention of Candidacy Form. They will be given a candidate packet containing important information and instruction on filing forms online with the State Ethics Commission.
Filing will close on August 15 at 12:00 noon. The office is open daily from 8:30 a.m. until 5:00 p.m. Monday through Friday. For information call 864-260-4035.

Districts 1, 3, 4, 5, 6
Filing for School Trustees: Seats to fill
School District 1 Areas 1, 4, 5, 7
School District 2 Area 1 (2 seats to fill), 3, 4 and at-large
School District 3 Areas 1, 4, and at-large
School District 4 Areas 2, 4, 5
School District 5 Areas 2, 5, 6, and At-large

Filing for Homeland Park Water & Sewer District Commissioner:
3 Seats to fill.

Piedmont Public Service District Commissioner:
3 Seats to fill.

Watershed Conservation District Commissioners: for watershed districts located solely within Anderson County candidates will file in the Anderson County Registration & Elections office.
Big Creek Watershed, 3 seats
Broadmouth Creek Watershed, 2 seats

Watershed Conservation District Commissioners: Multi-County will file with the State Election Commission in Columbia.
Brushy Creek, 3 seats
Three & Twenty, 2 seats
