BOBBIE HAMBY, JEFFREY COOLEY, TIMOTHY FRANKLIN BELL, MARY FAYE SIMS ELROD

BOBBIE HAMBY

PIEDMONT – Bobbie Janelle Clark Hamby, 71, wife of Roger Dale Hamby, passed away Wednesday, August 8, 2018.

Born in Williamston, she was a daughter of the late Ben and Kathleen Landers Clark. She was a homemaker and a member of Southside Baptist Church.

In addition to her husband, she is survived by son, Ronnie Hamby (Tonda) of Belton; daughters, Shanna Thurston (Anthony) of Pelzer, and Angela Chastain (Marvin) of Piedmont; sisters, Linda Ricketts, and Mary Clark; grandchildren, Ashley Gooden (Joshua), Shad Thurston (Cara), Shyla Thurston, Wyatt and Arron Hamby, Jessica Finley (Stanley), and Kyle Chastain; and great-grandsons, Eli and Karson.

Visitation was Friday, August 10, from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m. at Gray Mortuary, Pelzer.

The funeral was held Saturday, August 11, at noon in the mortuary chapel with burial following at Greenville Memorial Gardens.

JEFFREY COOLEY

Jeffrey Todd Cooley, 29, of Belton, died Sunday, August 12, 2018.

Born in Greenville, he was a veteran of the U.S. Army and was employed with Frigidaire.

Surviving are his daughter, Isabella Grace Cooley of Saluda; father, Jeffrey Dale Cooley of Belton; mother and stepfather, Tina and Michael Davis of Belton; sister, Jessica Cooley of Greenwood; brother, Brandon Cooley of Honea Path; sisters, Michaela Davis of Belton and Amber Acuff of Pelzer; grandparents, Wilton and Emma Sue Cooley of Belton, and Mark Brandt of Douglasville, GA.

Funeral service was held Wednesday at Sullivan-King Mortuary. Burial followed in Garden of Memories.

TIMOTHY FRANKLIN BELL

Timothy Franklin Bell, 56, husband of Linda Jo Bell, of Pelzer, died Thursday, August 9, 2018.

He was the son of Harold. F. and Alvah Watts Bell and was a member of Wren Baptist Church.

Surviving are his wife; daughter, Nikki Staton; son, Adam Bell; and two grandchildren.

Funeral service was held Tuesday, August 14 in the Chapel of Thomas McAfee Funeral Home, Northwest.

Burial followed in the Graceland Cemetery, West.

MARY FAYE SIMS ELROD

Mary Faye Sims Elrod, 78, of Piedmont, widow of Frank Lewis Elrod, died Thursday, August 9, 2018.

Born in Greenville County, she was a daughter of the late Marshall and Dot White Sims.

She was a member of Rock Springs Baptist Church.

She is survived by two daughters, Angela Holder of Greenville and Donna Alsup of Piedmont; four grandchildren; two great-grandchildren; two sisters, Brenda Elliott of Fairplay, and Cheryl Justice of Townville; and a brother, Ronnie Sims of Easley.

Funeral service was held Monday, August 13 at Rock Springs Baptist Church. Burial followed at Bethesda United Methodist Church.
