Williamston Police Officers investigated the following incidents:
Aug. 28 – Roy Anthony Shaw, 40, 210 Old Jack Rd., Barnwell was issued a summons for squatting on property at 11 Circle Dr. in Williamston. According to reports, two subjects were living in the property without the owner’s knowledge. Shaw’s father had lived at the address but had passed away a few months earlier and the owner had not given permission for anyone to occupy the house. Shaw and a white female, identified as Kari Strickrott, were issued no trespass notices and a courtesy summons for squatting on private property. R. Drennon investigated.
Aug. 31 – Heather Renee Cobb, 35, 105 Foghorn Ct., Williamston filed a missing person report for her son, Taylor Caleb Scott, 18, 1917 Broadway Lake Rd., Anderson. Reports state T. Cobb was last seen last Wednesday at 6 E. Third St. in Williamston and recently missed his weekly probation meeting. He is described as 5’ 9” with a slim build, scar under his right eyebrow and a tattoo on his right hand. C. C Brown, M E. Eddleman investigated.
Sept. 2 – Zachary Garrett Grogan, 28, 341 Hickory Lane, Pendleton was arrested after officers responded to 602 Willams, St., in reference to a suspected break-in. According to reports Victoria Burton was retrieving items from the garage. Grogan was becoming uneasy and was asked if he had anything illegal on him. He said no and consented to a search. A black zippered pouch was found that contained one teal green pill thought to be Zanax. Grogan was arrested. Burton was told to return at a reasonable hour to retrieve her things and to leave the property. R. Maxwell investigated.
