The September meeting of the Anderson County Republican Party will be held at 6:30 pm on Monday, Sept. 17 at Concord Community Church, 610 Concord Road, Anderson SC 29621. There will be light refreshments, and the program will begin at 7:00 pm. The meeting is casual.
This month the local GOP is very pleased to bring South Carolina Secretary of Education Molly Spearman as the speaker for the meeting. Spearman has a long and solid background including serving in the SC House of Representatives and working in the school system for many years. She has now served as State Secretary of Education for several years and will talk about the changes in the Education system that have been implemented since she was elected.
She will also be there to speak about safety in the schools and will take questions. “Anderson County citizens are very interested in this and other topics of concern, and this is an opportunity to take an active part in finding out the plans on the State level for our schools and for our childrens’ safety,” a Republican Party spokesperson said.
The public is invited. The program will begin at 7:00 pm. The doors open at 6:15. Come early in order to meet other active citizens. Meet and greet at 6:30 with light refreshments. It is not necessary to be a member in order to attend. Membership is $15.00 per couple and $10.00 individual.
