TAMMY HAWTHORNE, KEVIN ALEXANDER, FRANKLIN “FRANK” V. PACE, DORCAS E. HOLLINS, DORIS HART

TAMMY HAWTHORNE

Tammie Mae Thompson Hawthorne, 51, of Piedmont, died Sunday, September 30, 2018.

Born in Greenville, she was a daughter of Melvin Fredrick and Bonnie Stowe Thompson of Piedmont. She was employed with Robert Bosch Corporation.

In addition to her parents, she is survived by daughters, Brandie Mae Smith and Heather Rae Moore, both of Piedmont; son, William Lee Hawthorne of Piedmont; sister, Karen Storey of Piercetown; brother, Tom Thompson of Williamston; and one grandson.

Visitation was Saturday, October 6, at Gray Mortuary, Pelzer. The service followed  in the mortuary chapel.

Memorials may be made to Greenville County Human Society, 305 Airport Rd., Greenville, SC 29607.

The family was at the home of Brandie Smith, 1102 Williams Rd., Piedmont.

KEVIN ALEXANDER

Kevin Lee Alexander, 50, of Piedmont, died Friday, October 5, 2018.

Born in Greenville, he was the son of the late Gary Lee Alexander. He was employed by Caliber Collision Body Shop in Greenville and was a member of Rehoboth Baptist Church.

He is survived by his mother, Vickie Cooley Jenkins  and step-mother, Delores Jackson Alexander, both of Piedmont; grandmother, Bessie Cooley of Piedmont; son, Chris Alexander of Simpsonville and daughter, McKenzie Alexander of Woodruff; and three grandchildren.

Funeral service was held Tuesday, October 9, in the chapel of Gray Mortuary.Burial followed at Greenville Memorial Gardens.

FRANKLIN “FRANK” V. PACE

Franklin V. Pace, 79, of Piedmont, died on Sunday, October 7, 2018 at Regency Hospital in Greenville.

Formerly of Tryon, NC, he was the son of the late Loton and Molina Waters Pace. He was a businessman in the trucking industry. He was a member of Scenic Hills Baptist Church in Travelers Rest.

He is survived by his wife Jean; daughters Sharon Pace, of Atlanta, and Karen Dacus, of Piedmont; step daughter, Laura Seltz of Easley; four grandchildren; and a sister, Ruth Foy, of Tryon, NC.

A private service and burial will be held on Thursday, October 11.

Memorials may be made to the American Heart Association, 156 Milestone Way, Greenville, SC 29615.

DORCAS E. HOLLINS

Dorcas Elaine Parker Hollin, 85, of Easley, wife of the late Joe Frost Hollin, died Friday, September 28, 2018.

Born in Margate, Kent, England, the daughter of the late John Thomas Parker and the late Ivy Hilda Lillian Death Parker, she was a retired bookkeeper from Hollin Machine Repair and Scraping. She was a member of The Church of the Redeemer.

Surviving are a daughter, Donna Hollin Uldrick of Pelzer; two sons, David John Hollin of Piedmont and Darryl Parker Hollin of Greenville; and five  grandchildren.

Memorial services were Sunday, October 7, in the chapel of Robinson Funeral Home-Downtown.

DORIS HART

Doris Jackson Hart, 75, of Piedmont, wife of Rev. Louis Hart, died Thursday, October 4, 2018.

Born in Westminster, she was a daughter of the late Hayse and Catherine Lusk Jackson. She was a homemaker and a member of Sonpoint Baptist Fellowship.

In addition to her husband, she is survived by her children, Byron Hart of Taylors and Tonya Hart Corley of Ware Shoals; two brothers; three sisters; and seven grandchildren.

Funeral service was held Sunday, October 7, in the chapel of Gray Mortuary. Burial followed at Whitefield Baptist Church Cemetery.
