Animal Shelter
· Saved 73% of the animals in our care this week.
· INTAKES:  85 (14 owner surrender, 2 return adoptions, 52 from animal control, 14 strays and 3 transferred in).
· OUTCOMES:  46 animals adopted, 13 died (underage kittens), 10 were euthanized for illness or aggression, 5 animals were owner requested euthanasia, 16 were returned to their owners (11 stray and 5 diversion) and 14 were sent to rescue.
· Clinic performed 125 spay/neuter surgeries.
· Currently, 140 large dogs, 13 small dogs, 12 puppies, 49 cats and 34 kittens in the facility.
· 9 animals are being held for court.
· 149 animals available for adoption, 71 of those have already been altered (48%).
· PAWS received $914.36 cash donations, $122.00 in donations for the Dog Park.
· OCTOBER STATS:
o Saved 93% of the animals in our care for the month of October.
o INTAKES:  633 (69 owner surrender, 9 return adoptions, 230 from animal control, 223 strays and 102 transferred in).
o OUTCOMES:  217 animals adopted,  23 died,  22 were euthanized for illness or aggression,  14 animals were owner requested euthanasia,  206 were returned to their owners  (48 stray and 158 diversion) and 104 were sent to rescue.
Clinic performed 588 spay/neuter surgeries.
· PAWS received $12,917.77 in cash donations and $531.00 for the dog park.
· Move over Rover! 45% of dogs sleep in their owner’s bed (we’re pretty sure a large percentage also hog the blankets!)  Adopt a dog and save on your energy bill this winter!
