One person was critically injured in a single vehicle wreck Saturday night around 11 o’clock. It happened on Old Williamston Road near Brooks Road. The driver of a van was entrapped after the van ran off the road and struck a tree. It took Whitefield and Broadway firefighters about a half an hour to free the driver. She was flown to Greenville Memorial Hospital by Med-Trans helicopter. The SCHP is investigating the wreck.
