Williamston Police Officers investigated the following incidents:
Nov. 28 – Ruby B. Slade, 65, 113 Mackey St., reported a utility trailer stolen. The trailer is described as five ft. by eight ft., all black with painted black lattice on the sides. The trailer was chained to a tree with a padlock. It was valued at $600. C. C. Brown investigated.
Nov. 27 – Kathy Smith, 58, 416 Belton Dr., Williamston reported an internet scam inthe amount of $160 of a victim in Tennessee and an unknowing participant in Williamston. Captain K. Marsee investigated.
Nov. 28 – Keith Francis McDermott, 56, 313 E. Carolina St., Williamston was arrested for possession of drug paraphernalia and vandalism of property when officers responded to a break-in in progress at 309A East Carolina St. According to reports, when officers arrived Clarence Adams, 64, 309A Carolina St., stated his screen door and primary front house doors were kicked in by the suspect. When officers arrived at 313 E. Carolina, the suspect met them at the door and appeared to be under the influence of some type of substance acting very agitated and in a strange manner. During the investigation, a medication bottle was found with residue that field tested positive for methamphetamine. McDermott was arrested and transported to ACD without further incident. B. K. Nov. 29 – Officers were dispatched to 809 Tripp St. in reference to an open door. While checking the residence, officers observed that the electrical meter had been tampered with. Duke Power was notified. R. Maxwell, D. D. Morgan investigated.
Dec. 4 – Nehemiah Mikiquez C Brannon, 20, 106 Avis Dr., Liberty was arrested and issued a summons for violation of a beginners permit after officers observed a gray Chevy on Hamilton St., with a broken drives side break light.  Three other occupants in the vehicle also did not have a valid drivers license. Brannon was issued a summons and officers waited with the subjects until they could get a ride from the scene. The vehicle was towed by H&H Towing. D. D. Morgan investigated.
Dec. 4 – Steven Gunner Crammer, 18, 119 Gray Dr. was arrested and issued a summons for no proof of insurance after a blue Chevrolet was observed on Greenville Drive with a tag that was suspended due to cancellation of insurance. The tag was removed from the vehicle and it was towed. D. D. Morgan investigated.
Dec. 4 – Irene Mitchell Nelson, 71, 253 Longview Dr., reported $106 taken. No Additional details. M. Beeman investigated.
Dec. 9 – Mary Linda Roberts, 72, 113 Cherokee Rd., reported damage to her mailbox. The damage was estimated at $100. A neighbor advised she heard and saw a vehicle, a truck similar to a F250, in the ditch. C. C. Brown investigated.
