Vehicle shooting suspect arrested in Niney Six

A man wanted for allegedly shooting two people inside a vehicle in Anderson Saturday has been arrested. According to reports, Clayton Lydel Hawkins, 28, was arrested by a fugitive task force in Ninety Six on Wednesday.
Hawkins is charged with six counts of attempted murder after Anderson City police say he shot into a vehicle with six people inside, including four children. The shooting incident happened at approxomately11:40 pm Saturday in the 100 block of Brookmeade Drive, Anderson.
Police believe the shooting was domestic related.
According to warrants, the children in the car were 2 months old to 4 years old.  A female in the vehicle was shot in the back of the head as she was driving a 2003 Nissan Altima. A male passenger was shot in the left wrist and the right thigh. The children were uninjured. Hawkins was denied bond on Thursday and remains in the Anderson Police Department Detention Center.
