Investigators with the Greenville County Sheriff’s Office have arrested Jaylan Horatio Marques Fair, 24, in connection with the January 27th shooting death of William Ramirez. Fair was arrested earlier today (May 22) and charged with Murder and Possession of a Weapon during a Violent Crime. He was transported to the Greenville County Detention Center where he is awaiting a bond hearing. Investigators have not received information that would indicate there are additional suspects involved, however Fair is the second person arrested in connection with the shooting incident.Niklaus Anthony Bennett, 20, was arrested in February in connection with the murder of Jamel Wingfield, who was shot and killed on January 26th. Bennett was also charged with the shooting death of William Ramirez, which occurred on January 27th, on Lakeside Road. During the course of investigation, investigators learned that Bennett, Ramirez and several other parties went to 25 Fleetwood Drive with the intent of committing a robbery. Once at the apartment, Ramirez shot and killed Jamel Wingfield. According to the Sheriff’s Office, the next day, Ramirez, Bennett and 20 year-old, Stephon Rasheid Sherman drove to the end of Lakeside Road where Ramirez was ultimately gunned down by Bennett and Sherman.
