Piedmont firefighters along with Greenville County EMS personnel work at the scene of a single vehicle wreck last Wednesday morning (July 24) on Piedmont Highway. A vehicle ran off the roadway and struck a utility pole breaking it. One person was transported to the hospital by ambulance. Piedmont Highway was closed for nearly an hour until utility crews removed the lines from the road.
