A West Pelzer police officer attempted to stop a motorcycle late Saturday night (July 20) for no taillight. The cyclist failed to stop and proceeded west on Highway 8 toward Highway 29. As they passed Ballard Road the motorcycle appeared to be stopping. The bike then fell over, it had ran out of gas. The driver was quickly apprehended. He was checked by Pelzer EMS and was not taken to the hospital. State troopers investigated the wreck. The driver was arrested. (Photo by David Rogers)
