CAROLE DARNELL, WENDY FORD, ELIZABETH STRAKA PARNELL

CAROLE DARNELL

WEST PELZER– Carole Ann Owens Darnell, 77, passed away on Saturday, August 3, 2019.

Born in Piedmont, she was a daughter of the late George Elford Owens and Jessie Mae Fletcher Owens Jacks. She retired from Michelin.

Survivors include sons, Tony Darnell of West Pelzer, Greg Darnell of Pelzer; daughters, Scherrie Tinsley of NC, Lisa Knight of Williamton, Dana Darnell of Williamston; sisters, Joyce Saylor of Piedmont, Tami Owens of West Pelzer; seven grandchildren; and five great-grandchildren.

Visitation was held on Tuesday, August 6, from 12:00 to 1:00 p.m. at Gray Mortuary, followed by the service at 1:00 in the mortuary chapel. Burial was at Greenville Memorial Gardens.

WENDY FORD

BELTON – Wendy Yvonne Ford, 44, passed away on Friday, August 2, 2019.

Born in Greenville, she was a daughter of Helen Elizabeth Jones Ford of Belton and the late Robert Melvin Ford.

In addition to her mother, she is survived by sister, Adrian Michelle Ford of Anderson; grandmother, Florence Ford of Williamston; and aunt, Brenda Jo Ford Spratt of Williamston.

Visitation was held from 1 – 2 p.m. Wednesday, August 7, at Gray Mortuary, Pelzer.  A graveside service followed at 2:30 p.m. at Greenville Memorial Gardens.

ELIZABETH STRAKA PARNELL

Elizabeth Straka Parnell, 95, Belton, widow of J. C. “Dick” Parnell formerly of Redwood Drive, died Friday, August 2, 2019 at Rocky River Baptist Association Residential Care Home.

Born in Olyphant, PA, she was the daughter of the late John and Mary Gumbal Straka. She was a member of St. Joseph Catholic Church of Anderson. She was the last surviving member of her immediate family.

Surviving are: sons, Richard Parnell  of Honea Path, Randy Parnell of Belton, Joe Parnell  of Williamston, and Tom Parnell of Belton; 3 grandchildren and 7 great grandchildren.

A private service will be held at a later date. The family will be at their respective homes.
